This was written for Allicat9's 'Pick a Quote, any quote Competition' with the character of Hugo Weasely. Hope you all enjoy!

(Starts as somewhat of a song fic, then changes to a oneshot type thingy)

"There's no revenge so complete as forgiveness"

That's the Rule he lived by.

And Everyone hated him for it.

They hated him for doing it them

When really,

It was the last thing they deserved.

FORGIVENESS

It didn't make them feel better.

They knew they deserved him

Hating them

FOREVER

But that wasn't how he worked.

His sister, Rose,

Was the reason he always

FORGAVE

and

FORGOT

Though he wish it wasn't the case.

He wished he didn't always forgive people.

He wished he could hold a grudge,

And others like they probably hate him.

But that wasn't the case.

If only she hadn't

DIED

When he needed her most.

When he hated her most.

When he wouldn't

FORGIVE

her.

If only he had been there for her

In her time of need.

Why did she have to leave,

at this time of all times?

Now,

FOREVER

and

ALWAYS

he would feel guilty,

about how he acted,

he last time he ever saw her face.

He looked down at her grave, a single tear falling from his face. His father patted him on the shoulder, and the placed a dozen rose's at the base of the grave.

"Hugo, it's going to be okay, I promise," Ron Weasely said, standing up. Hugo nodded, but stayed where he was. "Your mother and I will be waiting at the diner across the street, okay? Come when you're ready." Hugo nodded again, and then waited for the sound of his parents footsteps to fade away before he started bawling.

"Rosie, I'm so sorry!" The 15 year old boy cried, covering his face with his hands. "You have to forgive me! I can't live with the guilt any more! Please...please! Forgive me!"

"Hugo..."

"Rosie?" Hugo asked, thinking he heard her voice, but not quite sure.

"Hugo."

"Rosie! Is that you?"

"Hugo, its me, Rose. Listen to me."

"Rose! Where are you?"

"I'm not really there, doofess," Rose's voice laughed.

"Then were are you?" Hugo cried.

"That isn't important right now, Hugo, but you have to listen to me."

"Rosie, please come back! I didn't me it when I said I wish you were dead!"

"I know you didn't mean it, Hugo, of course you didn't. It's not your fault I died. And even if it was, I would still forgive you."

"But Rosie, it was my fault, I wished that you would die, and then you did! It's all my fault!"

"Hugo, listen to me. It is not your fault I died. Do you understand?" Hugo nodded. "Good, now listen to me. You don't ever want to feel this way again, do you?"

"No, Rosie, please, make the pain go away! Please!"

"I know a way that will make you feel less guilty."

"What is it?" Hugo asked, not daring to believe that there might be a way for him to feel better.

"Make me a promise." Rose said.

"Anything, Rosie."

"Always forgive. No matter who it was or what they did. Always forgive them."

"I promise Rose."

"I love you Hugo."

"I love you too, Rosie."

There was silence.

"Rosie? Rosie? Rose, where did you go?"

"Hugo..."

"Rose?"

"Hugo, are you ok?" his mother asked.

"Where's Rose, Mum, where is she?"

"She's in heaven, with Grandpa Arthur now, Hugo."

"But she was just here. I was talking to her!"

"Hugo, Rosie is in heaven now, but don't you ever forget, she will always love you, and she will always be right here." Hermione touched her sons chest, right about where his heart would be.

"I know, Mum," Hugo said, hugging her tight, even though just minutes before they arrived here, he was mad at her. Because at that moment, he promised he would always forgive, even if it was the last thing the person he forgave wanted.

Because there is no revenge so complete as forgiveness.
