Draco Malfoy walked idly by the empty potions class thinking happily about what his team's new tactics for Quiddich. This was one of the few thinks he actually enjoyed thinking about. The war and everyone's plans for him were lost in the vast field as he flew about in his imagination. He just passed the door and paused briefly to glance in hoping to see Professor Snape. Malfoy wanted to ask him about something his father had spoken about to some of the other Death Eaters.
"Where are they?" He stared in confusion as instead of the grumpy professor a small girl with bright blonde hair stood in the center of the room spinning in circles asking the air for something he couldn't quite hear. He was just about to blow it off and let her get in trouble, when she made eye contact with him. Maybe eye contact was a weak term, her eyes unblinking, drew him in until he couldn't help but ask what she was doing.
"Looking for the Gulping Plimpies." She paused and glanced around again as if the thing she desired would pop out of the walls. "I was told by some lovely Griffindors that Professor Snape received some." Malfoy briefly congratulated the house for having at least some evil members and moved into the room intending on warning her about Snape's incline to take points when his classroom was invaded. It was a small piece of revenge to ruin some Griffindors' plan." She smiled heavenly and caught him off guard when she spoke.
"I'm Luna, Luna Lovegood." He blinked at her name several times and coughed trying to gain some control over his head, with was swelling with curiosity.
"I'm..." She cut him off.
"I know who you are, the infamous Malfoy. Or is it Draco? maybe Draco Malfoy? Does anyone call you by your first name?" He shook his head confused as to why she asked. "Alright then, I shall be the first. If that's alright?" He let out a noise that was both a growl and a protest. "That's great! That's the sounds Gulping Plimpies make!" Draco made a face and turned to leave, dreading ever meeting this girl again.
"See ya." He added as an after thought as he left the room. Luna's next phrase startled him to the point of stopping.
"Really? That's great! Not too many people want to see me again!" He turned and watched her go back to looking for whatever the Gulping Plimpies were, basically forgetting he was there. He was not used to being ignored, but slightly happy at the idea of getting away he left, not looking back more then once to make sure he wasn't being followed.
The End
