Prologue: 3 years later...
Chell sat in the wheat field looking up at the sky, she had no intentions of leaving this field ever. For she didn't get upset. All she needed was her companion cube that she had dubbed "Cubert". She picked him up and held him like a child. She looked to her left and saw the small metal shack where she was set free from Aperture Laboratories. Never had Chell been so happy to leave that place when she stepped out into this field 3 years ago, yet she couldn't help but think something was wrong. She set Cubert by her side and remembered how GlaDOS saved her life from suffocating in outer space, as Wheatley, the evil bastard of an intelligence core was swept off into the dark sky, along with the other 3 corrupted cores she put on him. She looked at Cubert and realized he wasn't her only friend, despite the fact he couldn't talk (While that wasn't a problem for her as Chell was mute). She missed GLaDOS. Even though she tried to kill her after her first round of testing. But she befriended her. And when GLaDOS found out she was Caroline she treated Chell like a daughter. But did GLaDOS really delete all of her data of Caroline she thought. Perhaps she may never know. Chell wrapped an arm over her stomach as it was starting to gurgle and became upset. She bent over and gave her metal companion cube a kiss. She wondered if there would ever be a time her name was mentioned for a last time.
