One-sided feelings from Elena and Jeremy when they start to have feelings for Damon and Bonnie respectively
When Katherine comes to Damon to have sex with him, he completely rejects her because he hates her for making a fool out of him. She still tells him that she only loved Stephan but he just does not care anymore.
Both Damon and Bonnie will be completely faithful to each other.
A little back history: Damon helped Abby to desiccate Mikeal but he does not remember it because Abby did a memory spell that made him forget the event and their friendship. They had a small but significant friendship.
I am not a writer but I would imagine this Bamon thank you scene to go like this …
"Hey little witch." Damon said as he came out of nowhere (Bonnie is just arriving at her house).
"Damon, what are you doing here?" Bonnie said tensely.
"Whoa, I'm not here to fight. I just want to say thank you for saving me from the fire and maybe establish a truce or something." Damon said.
"Why should I even trust you?" She looked at him with a calculating look.
"I know I have done a lot of bad stuff but I am going to hang around here a little more and I don't want to have any conflicts with you." He said.
"You mean hang around Elena." She said.
"God, I do not want Elena like that." He said.
She just looked at him with an unbelieving look.
Damon just throws her a frustrated look.
"Fine, I may have thought that there was something there but I was just hurt and lonely. I just see Elena as a friend and I don't have a lot. So, please excuse me if I see her as someone special to me." He said with frustration at first but ended with a softer tone.
Bonnie looked at him with a bit of regret because of her words.
"Look Damon, I'm sorry about what I said. It's just hard to trust you after what happened to my Grams." She said.
"Bonnie, I am sorry about Shelia. I truly did not want that to happen to her. I heard what you said to my brother about killing me if I spilled more blood and I just want to form a small truce with you." He said.
She thought about it for a moment.
"Okay, but if you make regret this …" She left a silent threat hang in the air.
"I won't and thank you." He offers his hand to her.
She tentatively reaches out and shakes his hand.
"Goodbye, little witch and don't let the vampires bite … oops, I mean bed bugs." He said with his famous smirk.
She just roll her eyes but can't help at laugh a little bit at the lame joke.
