Karin laid on the cot, unmoving. Sakura was sitting on a stool next to her, check Karin's pulse constantly. Her heart was still beating, but beating slowly. Sakura checked the time on her watch, her turn watching the girl was over. There was a quiet knock on the door before it was opened.

"Sakura!" Lee shouted. "You're shift is up!" He walked towards Sakura, a huge grin on his face, he looked down at Karin and his grin slowly disappeared. "Is she going to be okay?" He walked next to her bed, placing a hand on the edge.

Sakura looked from the red head to Lee and nodded. "Of course she'll be okay." She looked back down at Karin, "You just have to be quiet. Loud sounds could disturb her." Lee's face went blank, then he nodded. "And," Sakura started walking towards the door, "Every few minutes, stop what you are doing and check her pulse. Put two fingers-"

Lee cut her off. "Just because I'm not a medic nin, doesn't mean I wasn't taught how to check someone's pulse. It's unyouthful not to know how to." His grin moved its way across his face.

Sakura shook her head, Lee always knew what to do. "If her pulse slows, call for me or another nurse. If her pulse stops, call for us and then perform mouth-to-mouth resuscitation. Do that continually until a nurse gets in here. You do know how to perform CPR right?" Dumb question, Sakura thought. Lee opened his mouth to answer her question but Sakura put up her hand to stop him. "Never mind, forget I asked. The green beast of Konoha can do anything if he pushes himself hard enough." Lee's face lit up at the nickname. "Well, I need something to eat, so I'm going to trust you and leave you here." Sakura smiled and walked out of the room.

Lee walked around the room, running his hand over everything, unable to stay still. He checked the watch on his wrist and went to Karin's bed side, deciding it was time to check her pulse. He placed two fingers on her wrist and looked at his watch again, waiting for it to reach the 12 before he started counting the beats of her pulse. "15 beats per 30 seconds, Sakura did say it would be running slow." Lee sighed, he wanted the girl to awaken and feel better. He leaned down and brushed the hair out of her face. He sat on the stool Sakura left sitting there and watched the red head rest. She looked peaceful, almost angelic like, except for the bite marks that ran down her shoulders and arms. That was one of her side affects from being a medic nin, people would bite her and they would feel better instantly, but she would gain a permanent scar of their bite.

Minutes passed and he checked her pulse again. "7 beats per 30 seconds, its slowing. 3 beats per 30 seconds now, oh dear God. Nurse! Nurse! Quick!" Lee panicked, he leaned down and performed CPR, his lips pressed to hers.

She started coughing and he pulled back, the nurse had still not arrived. Karin leaned up onto her elbows. "You just kissed me." She blushed, biting her bottom lip. She took a deep breathe, weak from exhaustion.

Lee's face turned red, "I-I was j-just performing CPR like Sakura had told me to do." He couldn't put out another sentence, Karin had leaned up and kissed him again, her lips like fire. She pulled back as a nurse walked in. "Her heart beat was slowing, I performed CPR, it should be back to normal." The nurse eased Karin back down into a laying position, checking her pulse, nodding. Lee was still in shock, the Green Beast of Konoha had met his fire, Karin.
