It was difficult for her to remember of something she had seen before, that looked so peaceful and in so much pain, at the same time.

Aang was crying and she could do nothing but hug him. She cried on his shoulder, but not whining. Only tears. As soon as he realized Katara was crying, he whipped her tears, stared at her blue eyes and smiled politely.

"Everything is gonna be fine" he told her. She laughed. Usually, she was the one telling that.

"I know" Katara said as she kissed him on the cheek. She knew he was feeling terrible about their failure in the Invasion and she couldn't bear it.

It was late at night and it was getting really cold at the Western Air Temple. But they didn 't mind. The stayed together next to a small fire.

That 's when Katara realized she could 't live without him. She knew she loved him since the day they met the fortuneteller, but now she was actually something more than sure about it. She remembered the kiss they shared a few hours ago in the Invasion. She was now wondering if he really felt the same way, or just did it because he was really nervous and couldn 't think of anything to say to her or something like that…

But then again, the way he looked at her, the way his stormy grey eyes met her blue ones, it couldn 't just be a fake kiss. Not from Aang…

He stared at her for a while. He knew she was thinking of something. She was looking at him, but it felt like she was staring to nowhere.

"What are you thinking?" he asked curious.

"What? Oh, nothing…" she lied.

"Oh, come on! I know you were thinking of something!" he said laughing while he was looking at her blushing.

"Well, yeah… I was thinking of something, but that 's none of your business, mister Curious!" she said looking angry, but actually she was just trying to make him stop looking at her. Doing it, looking into her eyes, he always found out what was wrong.

Aang kept looking and said whispering "I love you", but when Katara asked what he said, he lied "I didn 't say anything, why would you think I did?". He looked confused and looked somewhere else because she could read his eyes as he read hers.

"Well, OK…" she said nervously. "Goodnight, Aang." She said quietly, but the tone of her voice made Aang sure she wanted to say "I love you". And now he was sure about it.

"Goodnight, Katara!" he said smiling, making sure she realized he meant "me too".

They both fell asleep after a while and they both dreamed of the day that passed and the "talk" they had.

The next morning, before anyone woke up, Katara went over to where Aang was and huged him. She just felt like doing it.

He opend his eyes and felt safe in her arms. He hugged her back to let her know he wasn't asleep.

"Good morning, Aang." she said shyly.

"Good morning, Katara" he said.

But the both knew the meaning was:

"I love you"

"I love you too"
