This story begins deep in the middle of a forest known by many names. There, a harmless looking village lay, pleasant on the outside, what little outside there was, but a darker past on the inside. This village worshiped the gods and presently makes sacrifices, these sacrifices are Devil's Fruit otherwise known as 'Power Carriers,' 'Fruit Borne of the Devil' or 'Devil's Spawn' and everytime one is spotted or found out there is an immediate execution or sacrifice to please the gods. By now one can understand that these Fruit are not actually fruit, but they are people. They are people born with extraordinary powers and abilities, powers that have been the cause of many disasters, yes, but also many miracles and they were welcomed by everyone, at one point in time, but one Devil's Fruit went rogue.
He held the power of darkness and grew up not knowing the love of a mother and being beaten by his father, he started thinking horrible things and soon his own power consumed him. It filled him up and killed him by the suffocating dark matter, he no longer existed and everywhere his body walked-killing people in its path-his power shrouded the world in darkness. This caused the normal people to think that the gods were displeased with having Power Carriers around and it frightened them, it also made people fear the other Power Carriers, made them feel the need to reject them and throw them away, soon calling them by their present name: Devil's Fruit. One man, Gol D. Roger, ended the time of darkness.
On the day when the darkness disappeared with the death of the Power Carrier, the sun shone brilliantly through the parting clouds and people thought that if the gods were happy with the sacrifice of the Power Carriers they would be sacrificed. The people found out that the man who ended the darkness was a Power Carrier and abruptly executed him publicly, they couldn't allow anyone to cause this disaster again and it was made a rule that any Devil's Fruit found would be sacrificed so that the gods would be pleased by the few remaining residents of the world getting rid of the abnormalities. This is where the real story starts, the story of three kids that lived in the heart of the forest that was primarily called Mythweald.
