Phoenixs Turnabout
Phoenix Wright walked into courtroom number 10, "finally" he thought "todays the day."
Today is the day he goes up against Winston Payne after Larry got arrested at 2pm at the local cafe.
"Mr. Payne, your opening statement please" said the judge.
"Mr Butz killed Cindy Stone in her apartment, she was hit on the head with a statue, we have here the keys to her room which were on the defendant"
Payne presented the autopsy, the statue and the key
"Objection" said Phoenix "Someone else could have killed her"
"We thought of that but no, the door was locked and Mr Butz had the only key to the room."
"There might be a contradiction here" said Phoenix
"Whatre you waiting for strike true Phoenix" said Mia
CROSS EXAMINATION: WINSTON PAYNE
"The door was locked and Butz had the only key."
"OBJECTION" shouted Phoenix. "Why doesnt Cindy Stone have a key to the room"
"Wait what" said Payne
"Mr Payne!" roared the judge. "Have you investigated badly again?"
"N-NO ILL SEND A POLICEMAN NOW" screamed Payne
"Im back Your honor" said the policeman
"Well what have you found"
"We went to the victims apartment and found out that the body was STOLEN YOUR HONOR"
"AHH" screamed Payne "My victim where is she? Wright where did you hide her"
"It wasnt me" Phoenix sweated
"Phoenix youve got to work out where the body is" said Mia
Phoenix thought about the previous contradiction and figured out that the body must be in Larrys apartment
"The victim is actually... in LARRY'S apartment! Because she wasnt actually killed in her apartment it was Larrys thats why he has a key and not her!"
"NOOOO- wait this is good thanks Wright" laughed Payne
"Oh no" said Phoenix.
"Don't give up yet Phoenix the worst of times are when lawyer's must smile" said Mia.
"Okay can we call the witness now" said Payne
"Yes"
The man was a guy in a yellow shirt with a cow tie and a spatula
"Name"
"Ben Mendax, spinny spinny" said Mendax
"Why do you carry a spatula everywhere you go Mendax" asked the judge
"Same reason you carry your gavel everywhere Judge" said Mendax who is a cook
"Oh I see, anyway testify"
CROSS EXAMINATION: BEN MENDAX
"I saw Larry walk down the hall, I peaked inside the apartment and saw Cindy lying dead."
"OBJECTION" screamed Nick. "How could you do this... if the apartment was LOCKED"
"Clearly Larry came back and locked it later" said Mendax
"Oh"
CROSS EXAMINATION: BEN MENDAX
"I walked inside and saw Cindy lying on the floor"
"HOLD IT" said Phoenix "What was she like"
"There was blood on her chest"
"OBJECTIN" shouted Phoenix. "She was hit on the HEAD"
"Then maybe the blood just fell on her chest idiot" said Payne
"Oh."
CROSS EXAMINATION: BEN MENDAX
"You can point out every contradiction you like the fact remains that I saw Cindy's dead body at 4 PM."
"OBJECTIONNNN" shouted Phoenix. "But Larry was arrested at 2!"
"Maybe it was 2 AM" said Mendax
"No witness stop lying it was 2 PM" said Payne.
"WHAT ARE YOU DOING" said Mandax
"Im sorry but I want to find the truth" said Payne.
"Witness if Larry was arrested at 2 and you saw the crime scene at 4 then how could Larry have locked the door later?"
"I don't know, how?"
"Ill tell you how..." said Phoenix. "The Larry you saw at the crime scene was FAKE!"
"A-AAAAAAAAAAAAAH" screamed Mendax and he bent his spatula
"What now" said Judge.
"Larry must be innocent, Im sorry Your Honor" said Payne
"Apology accepted. Larry Butz is NOT GUILTY"
