This is my first poem…ever, so be kind! Please review!

This Compass is Broken
Heart's desire, such a simple thing...
It's meant to make your heart flutter and sing...
This compass will lead me to my heart's desire, he said
So this is now where I want to…need to head?
This compass is broken, its arms are all crossed!
It's leading me away from my desire who's lost!
How can I go right when it says to go left?
To stumble in the gale all blind and all deaf
Right leads me to love, left leads me to free
Curiosity killed the cat and the cat killed me.
His lips near mine, so close to the touch
How can I desire this man so damn much?
I love Will, it's easy to see
Then why's it in Jack's arms that I want to be?
So now my decision is perfectly clear.
I'll ignore this compass and leave my love here.
I'll ignore the arms and let true love sink away
I'll lock up my heart and bury it…let it lay.
No X marks the spot, there's no hidden key
The memory will die like him…like me…
