Light

He was the light in the darkness. At least, he remembered saying that he was a very long time ago. To make such a declaration was out of character for him. Then again, he wasn't in character at all when he said it. So that made it okay, he guessed.

Across the table, his wife stared at him blankly. He was deeper in thought than she'd ever seen him. Their youngest son watched intently, too. This was almost as out of character as giving himself titles. Afraid something was wrong, the woman called out tentatively, "Goku? Are you all right?"

The man snapped out of his thoughts and replied with a grin, "Actually, Chi-Chi, could you call me Light instead?"
