"Friend Raven, please do not perform this! Please do not - "
Those were Starfire's last word before she was banished into another dimension for the time being.
Raven promised herself that she would not use her powers for her own personal gratification, but she could not resist these four times.
She banished all of her fellow Titans to different dimensions. She will bring them back eventually.
The Titans always bother her. ALWAYS. They always want to do something that she does not enjoy.
Why must Beast Boy insist that she eat his tofu? It looks like a sponge and probably tastes like that, too. Meat is real food and that is the best kind that exists.
Why does Cyborg think that she will enjoy fixing his car? She does not even like the car; she does not even need the car. She can fly, which is cooler than that car.
Why must Robin always want to train and make them do drills? Raven is pretty muscular and strong already; she wants to rest and not train every second.
Why does Starfire continue to pester Raven to go shopping or paint her nails or gossip? Raven does not like that stuff. Malls are crowded and loud. Nail polish smells really bad and Raven does not really care that much for other people or their lives.
Today, they got on her last nerve and she did something that would bring her joy: make them disappear for a short time so she could achieve peace and quiet.
She sent Beast Boy to a dimension filled with meat. Cyborg went on a trip to one that lacks technology. Robin was dispatched to one filled with couch potatoes and Starfire, who was always talking, was sent to a silent dimension.
Raven is going to enjoy this quiet time. It will be her "me time." She needs this. She can rely on silence and tranquility in the comforts of her bedroom, but she would like it to be accessible throughout the tower and not just confined to one place.
She is going to order whatever pizza she likes and she has a huge craving for pepperoni. She will watch whatever she wants to. She is in the mood for a psychological thriller.
She will meditate anywhere. She is thinking maybe on the kitchen counter. She wonders if that will be a great place for meditation.
She will also read on this comfortable couch with her feet on the coffee table. She has been dying to do that.
And while she is reading, no one would be bothering her. No one would be calling her creepy or sad. No one would be trying to convince her that books are only for nerds or people who do not have lives.
'Why don't people like books?' she wonders, not really searching for an answer. She, on the other hand, adores them.
Books are fun. Books are valuable. They teach the reader morals and lessons. They transport one into a whole new world. They introduce one to new friends.
Books do not argue. They do not commit crimes. They do not throw tantrums. They are silent.
Most importantly, books do not annoy Raven to death.
People are full of issues. They criticize. They dramatize everything. They do not accept others. People tend to get on Raven's nerves.
'And they wonder why I like books more than people.'
