A/N: So, this is a Christmas present to all the Jarter lovers {cough Animal Charmer 11 and FlameTamer16 cough}! Merry Christmas!

Jaz smiled, her spirits lifting. Carter had gotten stuck underneath the Christmas tree, and called for Jaz to get him out. She had agreed, on one condition: he would have to meet her under the mistletoe in the kitchen.

He simply nodded. Pinned down by Felix, Cleo, and Alyssa, he was not in the best of positions to do much besides lay there. Jaz took one look at the three kids and said, "If you want the best cookies ever, you need to get off of Carter."

The kids immediately jumped off of him and ran into the kitchen. Jaz followed them in, distributing to each her famous snickerdoodles. She gave them each three, which probably wasn't the best idea, but hey: it was Christmas Eve. They were already hyped up. A little more sugar couldn't hurt them, could it?

Felix tasted his cookie and his eyes widened. "THIS IS THE BEST COOKIE EVER!" He shouted at the top of his lungs.

Jaz blinked, then smiled and said, "Uh… thanks. Now, if you want Santa to come, you'd better get to bed."

The children raced up to bed, leaving Jaz to wait for Carter.

After a half hour, when he still had not come, she walked out to the tree, hands on her hips. Carter was sitting calmly on the couch, which annoyed Jaz. "Just what are you doing?" She demanded.

"Waiting," he replied.

She looked miffed. "I thought you were going to meet me under the mistletoe."

Carter raised an eyebrow. "I don't know about you, but knowing you is gift enough. And who needs mistletoe?" He pulled her into a kiss there, and Jaz melted into it.

When they separated, she said, "I'm going to bed. I don't to get on Santa's naughty list any more than I already am."

She went up to her dorm, and as she was brushing her teeth, she heard a snippet of a song.

"I don't want a lot for Christmas, I just want you for my own. Make my wish come true; all I want for Christmas is you."

Then she heard Carter's voice. "Maybe she would have stayed longer if she was under the mistletoe…"
