Fighting Feelings
Mark couldn't help but feel like things were sinking for him. He was loosing focus on his job, he had no idea how to pay half of his incoming bills and he was loosing the women he thought he loved.
She was moving on to bigger and better things, she was heading a sub-committee she was starting the learn the curve of this whole game. She was going to go somewhere and it was ending up to be sooner rather then later like Mark had originally thought.
Mark let out a sigh as he sat back in his office chair. He was going to end up loosing her and that thought was making him mad. All Mark wanted was to tell her what she really meant to him
But he couldn't find the words.
He didn't know how to tell her that she was exactly the kind of person that he was looking for. She was the person he wanted to spend the rest of his life with. He had no idea how to spring that on her.
Plus, he was just a little bit scared to spring that on her. He didn't want to tell her that he loved her and wanted to be with her for the rest of their lives out of the blue. She would freak out, either with complete giddiness or complete shock. Either way, Mark wasn't sure if he could face either one of those.
So, Mark stood up from his desk and walked out of his office.
He had to get this out of the way, he had to push all of these mad thoughts from his mind.
So he was going to do that only thing that he knew how. He was going to be reckless and impulsive and go only with his gut and heart and not anywhere near his head.
"Yo man! Where you headed? Want to do lunch?" Tom asked as Mark walked past his desk quickly.
"Just...give me a minute." Mark mumbled as he charged into her office.
He knew that by now the entire office was watching and waiting and preparing to report what was about to happen, but Mark didn't care.
He just cared out telling Leslie Knope that he loved her, in the only way he really knew how. "Mark...what are..." Leslie started to asked as Mark made his way to her and dropped to his knees.
"Leslie..." Mark stopped before he could complete the sentence and he kissed her.
He pulled Leslie's face to his and he planted his lips on top of Leslie's and he kissed the women he was pretty sure that he loved.
