He'd anticipated a lot of guff from the team. After all, a big guy like him who went insane over stolen sugar, the jokes wrote themselves. Fortunately, the rest of the team loved sweets and hated Galactor as much as he did. Ryu sighed, turning to Jun.
"Thanks for saving us back there. And helping me take down the reactor!" he said. She smiled, blinking her pretty green eyes at him.
"And thank you for being so passionate about your sweets! I think that's what really drove us to victory!" she said, and Ryu blushed.
"Aww, you're just sayin' that..." But even if she was, he'd take it. He and Jun didn't interact much outside the team, but she was quite a girl...smart, pretty, kind, and her quick thinking had saved the God Phoenix's tail on more than one occasion.
"Well, either way it was a job well done." Jun smiled and pressed a kiss to his cheek.
Ryu sighed dreamily. That alone was sweeter than all the sugar on Earth!
