I Refuse to Let Go
Salty, wet tears try to fall down my face as
The darkest hour
Of despair is upon us
Mulder reassures me that
He will return
Our strong, unending trust brings us closer as
A deep embrace locks us at a dead
Stand still in a moment of time
Love runs as deep as the ocean
Our souls are entangled for all eternity
We hold on for a minute longer,
Utter our final good-byes
As soft, silky skin touches
Mulder gently caresses my fiery, auburn hair
It is like the fire of insanity
The color of my hair
Reflects the person with in
I convince myself to muster up the
Strength and the willpower to let go of
Mulder, my future and my rock in the stormy sea
But his deep, hazel gaze entraps me
As I refuse to let go.
