Mesmerized, her face was blank as her pointer finger ran along the silver plating, feeling the groves of the centuries' old workmanship. Despite the lack of sunlight in the gloomy attic, the mirror shone brightly underneath its dust and grime.
I… sssssee you found the mirror.
The girl didn't break from her trance, still pressing her palms into the reflective surface and staring vainly at her face. Her face showed no indication that she heard the eerie voice whispered somewhere next to her ear.
I ssssshould have known that you would alsssso be caught in the web…
Once again, there was no answer.

The entranced girl brought her face as close to the mirror as possible, smearing spider webs onto her cheek.

Her hand went through the glass, and the girl's brown eyes widened for the first time as she fell through. She opened her mouth to scream, but before she could she was sucked inside the mirror. The handkerchief that was hidden in her dress pocket flew out of the mirror (the silver on its edges flashing brightly before turning dull once again) and rested at its feet. It stayed still for a moment before shimmering and the design on its edges changing.

The handkerchief stopped glittering and turned a dull white, small little hearts embroidered on the corners.
