Mystery Man

Rashel stayed crouched down in the shadows like Quinn had told her to. She didn't want to PO him, not yet. She listened to him for now.

He was standing protectively in front of where she was, talking to some man. She didn't trust this man. Something was off about him. Not that the fangs helped her.

"…I understand completely, Ash," Quinn said. Ash, that was the strangers name. She remembered him now. But, wasn't he in love with a human? She trusted him there.

"Well, why don't you listen?" Ash demanded, his eyes flashing.

"What is it exactly you need?" she asked suddenly. Ash's eyes darted to where she was and back to Quinn.

"What are you doing? I though I told you to stay quiet!" Quinn growled. She didn't flinch.

"I could tell there was a human here, Quinn, I'm a vampire, remember? I can smell her blood. Come on out, Cat," the other man said quietly. Rashel narrowed her eyes at him.

"I don't take orders from a vermin," she said coolly, walking in the opposite direction.

"Rashel!" Quinn called, running after her. She ignored him and kept walking. "What do you mean? You listen to me! Am I just some vermin?" She spun around and faced him.

"Yes, you are. You're just the same as all the others!" she shouted. "Just leave me alone."

"No."

"No?" she turned and pulled the stake from her sheath. "Look, Quinn, I don't want to kill you, but you're really making me mad so I suggest you don't."

"Go ahead and kill me. You'll just regret it tomorrow and you know it," he said coolly. Damn, he was right. She narrowed her eyes at him before turning and stalking away. "I always win, Cat, you know I do!"

"Go to hell," she shouted back.

"That's where I'm going anyways," he said, smirking. She rolled her eyes and put up her hood before running down the street.
