CHAPTER 1

AALIYAH

'I feel so peaceful here' Aaliyah said to herself as she walked around the Egyptian

exhibit. Around her people from all over the world was here. India, Africa, and

Russia to name a few. Looking around she noticed a marble looking box.

Suddenly, a wave of nervousness and dread filled her. 'Why do I feel like I'm

going to die?' she whispered softly. As she inched closer, she didn't notice a 20

something year old man going towards it.

RODERICK

'This looks interesting' he said to himself. 'What is it?' He moved closer and

closer. Suddenly he bumped into a someone. 'Oh I'm sorry! I….' He and the

person said at the same time. Suddenly he felt something he had never felt before.

A spark of some sort. In front of him was a 24 year old woman in a white dress

and sandals. Her hair was in braids and tied up in a bun.

"I'm so sorry I wasn't looking where I was going." she said nervously.

"No, no don't be." Roderick replied. "Um… I better get going." She said and

quickly went to a different statue. This time a woman Pharaoh dressed in red.

Roderick went to look at the Eye of Horus but he kept glancing at the woman he

bumped into.

AALIYAH

'You know we have been doing this for an hour now' she said to herself. Aaliyah

was talking bout the man she bumped into earlier. 'One of us should make a

move before the security gets suspicious.' Finally she saw that he was by the

exhibit where they kill people for treason against Egypt. And said 'Ok here goes

nothing.' She walked casually to where he was and 'ACCIDENTLY' bumped

into him again. "I'm so sorry are you alright?" She asked him." I'm fine. Um… "

he replied. "My name is Aaliyah. What's yours?" she asked. "Roderick" he

replied. "Do you want to hang out sometimes?" She flirted with him. 'What has

come over me?' She asked herself. "Yeah. Here's my phone number." Roderick

said while writing on the map of the Metropolitan Museum. "Here you go. Talk to

you later."

"Bye" she replied. 'YES I GOT HIS PHONE NUMBER' she shouted to herself.

RODERICK

'SHIT!' He cursed himself. 'I shouldn't be falling for her since I'm

ENGAGED!'

AUTHORS NOTE – Well what did you think? This is what I thought might have

happened after they went towards each other at the end of the musical. I have

work and all so I won't write for a while.
