Three sisters (Prue, Piper and Phoebee Haliwell) grow up in San Francisco. They lived with their grandmother until she died leaving them the family house, boxes and books with strange things in them. Little do the sisters know that their lives will be changing forever. They lived a life were they didn't know magic was a part of everyday life.

Prue and Piper live with the grandmother. Phoebee goes to college in New York. She comes home for a visit and strange things starts to happen. Their grandmother dies before she gets the chance to tell them that they are the Charmed ones. Once she dies the tree sisters get mysterious tattoos that appear out of know where. The symbol represents the Charmed ones.

Prue was cleaning out her grandmother's room when she sees a letter hidden amongst her things. She starts to read and learns that the females of the family are witches. She calls for Piper and Phoebee to come see what see has discovered. Once the other two read the letter and they look at each other things start to change. On the last page of the letter it stated the they must learn to work together and "THE POWER OF THREE". The girls decided to tackle the attic together to find out more about their family history. Once they made that decision their powers start to develop. Prue starts to get head aches, Piper struggles to accept the truth and Phoebee is wondering what kind of cool powers she will gain.

The girls are in for a big shocker and ride of a lifetime once they can control their powers and learn more about the Haliwell history.
