My mind wandered tonight, in a strange way. I do apologise for the bible reference, if I got it wrong then it was probably the right way to do it. If that makes sense... Do I ever make sense? ?
"Search the establishment," he said coldly. Everyone moved around him to do as he asked. It was inconceivable to him, that someone dare open up such a place, almost under his nose.
"Eric," Pam sounded calm, but that meant nothing. He followed her and looked at what was sprawled naked in the bathtub. Eric snarled and put his hand on the body that lay there.
"He's almost drained," Pam pointed out.
"Don't state the obvious," Eric snapped, kneeling down and running his hand on the nearby leg. It was cold, the flesh resilient to his touch, but it reacted with a spark as he touched it. "He's still living."
"I thought you said not to state the obvious," Pam said. Eric turned to glare up at her.
"Get the others, we need to move him."
"And the humans?"
Eric turned to look at the body in the bath.
"They are drainers; the bible says treat others as you wish to be treated."
"I believe it is 'judge not, lest ye be judged', I think," Pam said.
"It accounts to the same thing in the end."

"Drink, child."
Eric was obeyed. The little vampire drank greedily, lapping at his wrist and whimpering as it was taken away. It was the first voluntary move the vampire had made since they had carried him from the bathroom.
"Enough now."
The naked boy whimpered and writhed upwards, wrapping himself around Eric. Not even a slap put him down, that just made him snuggle himself as close to Eric as he could.
"We need to put him to bed."
"Pam, he cannot be left alone. This is not something we are equipped to deal with. The nearest clinic is an hour away."
"We need to keep him. He likes you."
"Bring me some B positive."
"True Blood won't be enough."
"Anything else will kill him. I'm too pure, too much will burn him."
"You can't say that to many people," Pam said. Eric glared at her.
"I'll keep him with me, my coffin is big enough."
"It fits your ego."
"Your attempts at humour are not funny," Eric said to her. He lifted the vampire, and he whimpered. It was a young thing they had found, pale, so pale because he had been drained. His trauma was something that took years to recover from, this would be even longer. The little creature clung to Eric, nuzzling his nose in like an animal searching for comfort. As he picked him up Eric felt the grazing touch of teeth.
"Don't you bite me!"
The fangs retreated, the body clung but the boy seemed willing to behave.
"You'll do as I tell you."
"Yes," was the whispered reply. "I will."
