They were just passing through an abandoned road, an old man; let's call him Gramps for short, with frightening powers stands before them. He is rumored to be one of the strong men in the blacklist hunter, though to his appearance. Gramps was after Gon and Kullia's hunter licenses to be wealthy. Gon probably doesn't want to fight because his old age, but Gramps was too arrogant to fight. Gramps gave a powerful punch on the ground. The ground crumbled and rocks flew, a giant crater was created. Kullia and Gon got terrified but they don't have any choice but to fight for them to get through.
They started fighting and after a lot of kicks and punches, neither both sides got injured. They both started to use their nen and a few rounds after, Gon and Kullia got exhausted and injured. Gramps did not have any damage at all for the reason that his nen is a teleportation type and teleported all attacks back to them. Afterward, he used his hatsu, Ultimate Technique, which he is making thousands of clones and attacks all at once. Despite the fact that he forgot what to do next because of his elderly age, he fell asleep in the middle of the fight. Kullia and Gon were stunned. And that very moment, they sneaked around gramps and ran while he is still unconscious to avoid another ruckus in against the two.
After a few hours, they got far enough from Gramps and had a break. They went in a café and that where they met Kurapica again.
