A/N: So I heard this song the other day and it just screams Brittana for me. After the episode the other night, I was pretty bummed with how they ended it, then HeMo's tweet on top of that. Anyway, going to get my frustration out through this story ha ha This will probably be a couple of short chapters. Enjoy J Review if you like it please!

Disclaimer: I do not own Glee or this song Dancing by Elisa

Dancing

Time is gonna take my mindand carry it far away where I can flyThe depth of life will dim the temptation to live for youIf I were to be alone silence would rock my tears'cause it's all about love and I know betterHow life is a waving feather

Santana rolled away from the warm body on the bed beside her, clumsily grabbing for her clothes. It wasn't the first time they had done this, but this time, something had changed. Something she had never felt before was filling her normally cold heart, and she had to get out before the feelings began to show.

A hand reached out, grabbing her arm. "Don't leave," the blonde beside her pleaded.

Santana felt her heart skip a beat at the request. She knew there was no way she could spend the night, that would just make all these feelings too real, and Santana Lopez just didn't do feelings. "I can't."

Brittany rolled her body away from Santana's. "What are we? What is this? Why won't you ever talk to me about it?"

"Whoa, Britt. You're asking way too many questions. Where is this all coming from?" Santana tried to distract herself from staring at Brittany's bare chest as it slowly rose and fell, and started to get dressed.

"It's just we do this, you leave, it's getting tiring and I'm confused."

I'm confused too, Santana wanted to say. "There's nothing to be confused about," she said, trying to sound slightly annoyed so Brittany would just drop the subject. "We're just two best friends being extra close, it's nothing."

"So if I were to date Artie, you wouldn't care?"

Santana felt her chest tighten, and she almost forgot to breathe. "Wait, what does he have to do with anything?"

Brittany sat up, pulling her shirt over her head. She placed a hand on Santana's shoulder, "Turn around, I want to look at you when I talk to you. I don't like talking to the back of your head."

Santana was afraid to turn around, she knew her eyes, her expression, would give away everything she was so used to hiding. "I gotta go," she said softly.

"Santana, please, look at me."

Santana turned around slowly, bringing her eyes up to those piercing blue ones. She knew she could never say no to those eyes.

"Look, Artie asked me out, and I kinda want to know how you feel about that?" Brittany searched Santana's eyes for any type of feelings may be lurking in there. Something changed, like a switch, and any and all emotion left Santana's face. Whatever she had been feeling was now gone, the walls were back up.

Santana tried to hide the hurt she felt when Brittany mentioned Artie. "Like I care who you date," she answered, trying to keep all emotion out of her voice. She hated the fact that Brittany looked hurt when she said it, but it was better this way. Feelings just screwed things up, and she couldn't tell the beautiful blonde what she really was feeling.

Brittany just looked at her, not sure what to say.

"Ok, well, I better go."

Brittany sadly nodded. "Yeah, you always do."

Santana felt tears coming to her eyes and needed to get out of Brittany's room before she lost it all together. She gave Brittany a quick hug. "See you at school tomorrow," she managed to get out, before running out of the room.

So I put my arms around you, around youAnd I know that I'll be leaving soon
