This is just a little something I wrote to help me get over my writer's block (let me tell you, it's EXTREMELY annoying). And what better to do than to write Haruhi X Kyon fluff? Reviews will be appreciated!

I'm not pressurising you guys or anything! Anyway, enjoy!

"Hey, Kyon" said Haruhi while we were both sitting on the dining table, having our breakfast. "I need to ask you something."

Haruhi was actually looking for my permission so that she could ask me something? In the 5 years that we were married, this was the first time that she ever did something like that!

"Well, you've never been one to ask, have you? Shoot away…" I said while concentrating on the scrumptious spread of burnt toast and overcooked omelettes in front of me.

"When is the last time you told me that you love me?" asked Haruhi. I must admit that this question took me by surprise. I nearly choked on my toast, and immediately reached out for a glass of water.

"W-What? You're not supposed to ask such questions right in the morning you know!"

"Just answer me Kyon, when is the last time you said that?" said Haruhi, with a dead serious look on her face. I just started blankly at her, not knowing how to reply.

"I'm waiting…" said Haruhi while drumming her fingers on the table. Suddenly I got up and walked towards the kitchen, taking out a Ferrero Rocher.

"Here, catch" I said and tossed it towards her. She was surprised, but just managed to catch it in the end.

"You're avoiding my question…." said Haruhi in an impatient tone while I walked back to my seat. "I'll ask you again – when is the last time you told me that you loved me?"

"Well, I just told you, didn't I?"

"Huh?" said Haruhi, clearly annoyed now. "What do you mean?"

"The Ferrero Rocher I just gave you."

"This?" she said while holding it up. "But you give one of these to me everyday-"

That's when it hit her.

"Oh…" she said softly. I merely smirked and went back to devouring my delicious burnt toast and now stale omelette. None of us said anything for the next few minutes.

"Hey Kyon…" said Haruhi in a soft voice after a while.

"Hmm?"

"I love you" said Haruhi, while looking down and blushing. I looked up and smiled at her.

"I love you too Haruhi" I said.

That's when I realised something. Sure Haruhi can be an annoying, overpowering and arrogant person at times. Well, actually it's more like most of the times. But ever so often, ever so rarely when she lets her guard down, she can be extremely cute and tender as well.

And that's what I love about her.
