As I lay there, bleeding I couldn't help but think of her
War wounds and broken hearts or peace
As I lay there, bleeding I couldn't help but think of her. Her laugh, her smile, her voice. I knew I was dieing and that soon I would no longer be here. I had given up trying to yell for help, my voice wouldn't come. I had finally accepted that death had graced me. Who would have thought that I would be the one laying here, thinking of the woman I loved, wishing to see her once more before I was embraced by the cold arms of death. Then a sound filled my head, it wasn't the shouting or cursing of battle, it was the sound of people running and the desperate cries of "Ron!" I saw some blurry faces over me, I could make out Harry, Ginny and… Hermoine! "Hermoine?" I said, it hurt to talk. "Save your strength." She said, sitting me. "I think I'm dieing Hermoine." Tears came to her eyes. "No don't say that." She said, tear drops falling onto my blood stained shirt. There was one big stain where I had gotten stabbed, right where my heart was; it was growing continually bigger as I lay on the hard ground, the wind blowing around me. As a strand of my hair blew in my face she pushed it away with her hand and leaned down and kissed me. I smiled for the last time. "Good bye Hermoine. Bye Harry, Bye Ginny." I said, coughing up some blood when I finished. "Ron. Don't talk like that!" She said, still crying I could see Ginny was crying, even Harry had a few teardrops on his cheeks. "Don't cry." I gave them one last reassuring smile before everything faded to black. I felt no pain, no heartbreak, nothing but the blissful silence that surrounded me. I was drifting in my own world, perfectly happy with every thing, not sad or scared, hurt or angry, all I felt was... happiness. Perfect, wonderful happiness, and I knew, that I would be like this for all eternity, knowing that I left my family, my love, my best friend, but not caring, knowing that they were left alone in the world, with out me, knowing that my children would wait for us to come home, and only their mother would come back. But some how I knew, that the tears of theirs were gone, that they knew I was at peace, and that my life was complete. I had a wife, a daughter and two sons.
