A/N This drabble was inspired by a movie I just watched "Go Toward The Light". Although while that movie was what put these words into my head, it also could pertain to anyone in my life or your lives. So many of us are in the situation of having to watch a loved one die or of learning of the death of a loved one. None of us are immune to that news. If anyone tries to claim they don't feel anything when they get the news they are either lying or don't have a heart. Although I guess with some it's possible that they had such a bad experience with the person who has died, they truly don't have any feelings about their death other than joy and relief. I know there are some who were in my life I might feel that way about.

Thanks to Shergar for checking this piece over for me.

Disclaimer I make no profit off of anything related to the movie "Go Toward The Light" this was written just to get thoughts out for me.

Lights That Fulfill Us

Do you know what it feels like to love someone who is dying? The clamp around your heart tightens so hard you can't hardly breathe or think. There are times you scream about the unfairness of it all and other times you are silently numb.

Too often things go unsaid or undone. Later you have regrets, yet time has passed by. There's no way to get it all back. The lost chances are just that, lost forever. While someone is alive, do your best to give of yourself. Whether it be to talk or read them a favorite book or verse, just to show your love. It doesn't really matter what you do or say just as long as you don't leave regrets.

It could be your mother or another family member or a friend. You will always be touched by someone that was in your life. It doesn't matter if they are two legged or four legged. Even when they are no longer on this earth, you will feel their presence with you each minute of every day.

Remember life is not the end of the journey but the happenings all along the way. Make each one count, make them special. Even if you lose ones you truly thought of, the memories could help tide you through the sands of time.
