Max took his gaze off the road long enough to glance
over to the passenger seat, where Michael was shifting
his position, again.
"We have plenty of time." Max tried to reassure him.
"Yeah whatever" Michael snapped then continued
"Youjustdon'tknowhowshegetswhenI'mlate."
Max would have laughed, but he didn't get a chance.
Three things happened in no particular order.
A bright light flooded the roadway.
Michael cursed.
The Jeep stalled.
They look just like the pictures. Max thought as the
white light turned cold and the world stopped.
They were taken out of their jeep by small
grey humanoid beings with very large unusual eyes.

Greyone placed each of the young men on a table,
then dialed in the codes to begin the first scans.
As the readouts began to scroll across the screen a
furrow appeared on his large forehead.
"@#@&, these two aren't human."
"What do you mean they aren't human?" Greytwo replied.
"I mean they aren't human."
"They have to be human." Greytwo pointed
"What about that one, he looks human."
"He isn't human!"
"Well, that one has to be human."
"NEITHER. OF. THEM. ARE. HUMAN!"
"You mean neither of them are human?"
Greyone touched two of his four digits to his
head and sighed or at least something that could
be construed as sigh-like. "I should have listened
to my mother and gone into law instead of medicine."
"What do we do?"
"We put them back."

"Well, this is just great." Michael sighed.
"It's not as bad as it seems. I know they weren't from
home, but if they can find us ... then maybe someone
from home will."
"I know, Max. I was more thinking that Maria is never
gonna believe I'm late cause WE were abducted by aliens."
