The sun goes down
The stars come out
And all that counts
Is here and now
My universe will never be the same
I'm glad you came
I'm glad you came
Luke looked out across the party, feeling the joy of all the Rebels as they celebrated their big win over the Empire. Sure there would be those within the Empire that put up a fight still, but for now it was time to enjoy the victory won here. Vader and the Emperor were both dead and the second Death Star was in ruins, a major blow to the Empire, still there was something in the air that made it so Luke himself couldn't relax. He saw Leia look at him and he wondered if she could sense it too or if she was just aware of his discomfort. Concentrating on her and Han, he forced himself to relax and enjoy the moments they had together, not wanting to spoil it for either of them.
The party lasted far longer than Luke could have ever thought possible, well over a week! By the time it was over he was starting to envision himself on some island, living the life of a hermit, so long as the island didn't have too much sand, for like his father before him, Luke was tired of sand. Leia suddenly appeared beside him, watching as the sun rose over Endor. "You're leaving." She stated, which wasn't lost on Luke, though until she said it, he hadn't realized that in fact, he was.
"I need to." He replied, to which her response was "I know. Try not to stay away to long." He smiled and looked at his sister before saying "I'll never stay away." Leia returned his smile, before giving him a quick hug and leaving him alone once more. Luke turned to R2 and said "Ready to head off on an adventure?"
I know I don't normally do song lyrics at the beginning of my stories/chapters, but this song is just stuck in my head and is what this story will probably be loosely based around so I thought why not XD If you read my other story Galaxy On Edge, forgive me for posting a new story while that one is yet to be finished, I am just having a case of writers block with it and I'm trying to focus on something else to hopefully clear it up.
