Downfall

Downfall

Summary: Dooku contemplates several Jedi after the Battle of Geonosis.

AN: I feel glum. When I feel glum, I write drabbles about thoughts that don't make sense. Flame me, review, whatever.

Disclaimer: I don't own Star Wars and its characters.

The Battle of Geonosis. A battle. Just a name for one of the several hundred battles to follow. Yet how many were lost? Among the Jedi? Among the Geonosians?

Ah, the Jedi. Fools. They weren't always so… easily duped. Were they? The dimwit Jedi… Yes, I used to look up at him. But when I left then Jedi, I saw them from a different view. They believe they are protectors of the Republic. They are wrong. They are simply stalling the inevitable. The downfall.

Yoda. Ah, yes, Yoda. He never suspected the Sith still existed. Had he been as wise as he supposes himself be, he would've.

Yaddle. Poor Yaddle. Used by the Council. Undying patience and tranquility. Yet if she were so great, why did she die? Had her mission been successful, would it have happened?

Mace Windu. Creater of Vaapad, which he considers flirtation of the dark side. He has no idea of the dark side's true power.

Shaak Ti. Beautiful, yet deadly. Could she sense the approaching danger?

Qui Gon Jinn. Ah, Qui Gon. My old Padawan. He was one of the only true Jedi left. Compassion, serenity, yet feeling emotion. I don't blame Maul for his death. I blame the Jedi. They sent him and Kenobi on an impossible mission – alone.

Tahl. Qui Gon's friend. I always knew there was more to her than met the eye. After she was blinded, she still held on. Not as powerful as Qui Gon, of course, but her intelligence could easily best anyone.

Bant Eerin. Obi Wan's special buddy. She was too soft. Always too eager to help. Perhaps that is why she died.

Luminara Unduli. Strong in the Force, yes. She and Barriss Offee were unstoppable together. However, once separated….

Barriss Offee. A healer. She resisted the dark side, yes. But did she detect its users?

And, of course, Sifo Dyas. My old friend. He was the truest Jedi ever. He knew what was coming. But all good things must end.

I gazed out over sunset. The Jedi would fall. Soon. Their arrogance would be their ruin. I would wait.

… I feel random, that's why I wrote this…
