(this is my first story, so don't get mad if i did something wrong cause i have no idea what i'm doing ^^')
Kagome woke up on a sweet Sunday morning, staring at the half-demon who lay beside her. She spotted her guitar, used almost every day since InuYasha came into her life. (He loves love songs.) She picked up the sticker-covered guitar and started strumming the chords to her newest piece.
When I was younger I saw, my daddy cry and curse at the wind.
He broke his own heart and I watched as he tried to reassemble it.
And my momma swore that she would never let herself love again.
Kagome's father had left her mom when she was still young. She doesn't remember his face, but she does remember what he did to her mother. Her mom broke down crying and threatened Kagome to never "fall in love".
That was the day I promised I'd never sing of love if it doesn't exist.
But darling, you are the only exception.

Kagome loved InuYasha from the bottom of her heart. She didn't want to let him go, but at the same time she didn't want to defy her promise with her mother.
That's when she decided she would run away with InuYasha one day, and the day was today.
I've got a tight grip on reality,

She stopped playing her guitar, woke up her lover, and started packing her bags.
