(Chase's POV)
I don't own the paw patrol
I'm such a lovesick pup. I can't even tell Skye how much I love her. It's probably because Everest asked me to be her boyfriend a few days ago but before I could deny she took it as a yes. Marshall my best friend is still mad at me because he liked her he said it all the time.
I simply sighed I knew Marshall wasn't my friend anymore and the rest of the pups were mad at me to even Skye. Everest on the other hand is a whole new story. She was clueless to what was even going on. So I stood up and decided to go talk to Marshall who has fallen into deep depression because of me.
I walked outside his pup house and knocked. "Marshall…Marshall it's me Chase."
"Go Away!" Marshall yelled
"Please Marshall I…I Just wanted to talk."
Marshall opened the door and I could tell he had been crying because his eyes were red.
"What could you possibly want to talk about!" Marshall snapped
"Marshall look I never wanted this to happen. I tried to tell her I didn't want to be her boyfriend."
"Then why didn't you? Was it to make me upset I thought we were best friends Chase."
"Marshall no…It's just when I wanted to say no she interrupted me with other questions."
"Like what?"
"Like I can't believe we are finally together when are we going to tell the others. And Why didn't we do this sooner."
"And that made you say yes!"
"Marshall I never said yes why do you think I would do something like that to you? Why do you think I would have feelings for her when I told you that I loved another pup?"
Marshall then looked at me with his blue eyes and looked down to the ground and back at me.
"So you really don't have feelings for her?"
"No I wouldn't want to hurt my best friend." I said in a very low tone
"Ok I forgive you but I'm going into my pup house because it's getting dark." Marshall said
"Oh thank goodness I was starting to worry about you. Because you don't do anything anymore not even eat."
"Don't worry tomorrow things will be different. Goodnight Chase."
Marshall closed his door so I walked to my pup house and sat outside it to look at the stars. I started to think to myself if things will ever be back to normal. I heard small footsteps behind me which made my ears perk up. I looked back to see Skye walking towards me which made me blush.
"So I'm guessing you heard everything I said to Marshall." I said
"Yep almost every pup heard except Everest who is at home with Jake sleeping." Skye Said
Skye walked over and sat by me as we both gazed at the stars.
"So Chase why did you hook up with Everest in the first place if you liked someone else?"
"I didn't want to make her sad."
"But you ended up making Marshall even sadder."
"I know I'm just a stupid mutt. I know you think so to."
Skye looked at me and back at the stars I knew she thought I was a mutt.
"Chase I don't think you are a Mutt. You just want to make everyone smile."
My tail wagged a little after she said that. I looked at her with a smile and she smiled back.
"I hope you don't mind me asking but who do you like?"
My heart started pounding after she said that. I looked down at her and she had the most beautiful smile. And I knew that was my chance.
"Well erm…uhh…the pup I like is yo-"
Just as I was about to tell her our pup tags started ringing and a voice called.
"Pups to the lookout!"
"Ryder needs us!" The pups shouted
"Skye wait!"
She was already at the lookout and I let out a low growl while heading to the lookout. I ran so fast that I tripped over Marshall and we started to roll on the floor and making rocks fly everywhere.
"That's how we wock and woll!" Zuma said
We all laughed as the elevator went up and we had our uniforms on while getting in our spots.
"Ready for action Ryder sir!" I said
"Thanks for hurrying pups I know it's late but their has been a problem at the construction zone. When the workers were building a new house the water valve busted with water going everywhere."
"Oh no!" We all shouted
"So for this mission I'll need Zuma! You can use your submarine to help me get the workers that fell underwater."
"Let's dive in!"
"I'll also need Rocky! We'll need your tools to help us fix the busted pipe."
"Don't lose it reuse it!"
"Next we'll need Rubble. After me and Zuma get everyone out of the overflowing water we will need your bulldozer to move the metal pieces to the side."
"Rubble on the double."
"And Marshall we will need you to make sure everyone is okay and doesn't have any injuries."
"I'm ready for a rough rough rescue!"
"Pups stay awake we might need you. Paw patrol is on a role!"
We all howled as most of the pups went on the slide and drove off leaving me and Skye at the lookout alone.
"So Chase who is the pup you like I mean no one is here right now."
"Well what I was trying to say was that the pup I like is yo-"
"Skye this is Ryder one of the workers went missing and we need you to come and find him."
"You got it Ryder."
"But-but"
"Sorry Chase maybe next time." Skye said
Skye soon went on the slide and left on her vehicle. I was so bummed I just sat there waiting to see if Ryder needed me but never called.
"Oh Skye when am I ever gonna have a chance to say I love you. I guess I really am chasing love."
