(Heh, not much to say. C: Just some cute stuff. Maeve is my Modern Warfare 2 character, if your wondering. Told in MacTavish's POV. Have fun reading. Kisses~ R for Rebel)
I twisted around a little; I was working towards sleep, though that would be difficult with the pain. Trying to bring my arms up to cover my bare upper body and keep me warm, I only succeeded in having them fall weakly to my sides again, rubbing against the bandages taped over the stab wound in my chest. Stupid wanker…God, what I wouldn't do for a smoke right now.
I heard the door to the small room open then close. I wouldn't have caught it if I had still been shifting around. Light, bare footsteps came next, with the few tiny clinks of something else. Only one person toke that much care with stealth.
"Mae, love. Come to keep me warm, did you?"
"Ha. You'd like that, wouldn't you?"
I could see her in the very dim moon light seeping through the blinds. God, she looked like something you'd only see in men's wildest fantasies. Lithe and strong…curvy in all the right places…Oh, Dear Lord, have mercy on my soul.
"I expected you'd be trying to sleep."
"I am, can't you tell?"
She came to sit next to me on the small, decrepit bed. Hands lying on my chest, she moved them down to rest on the bandages, goose bumps erupting were she touched. I sighed heavily, which made everything above the belt hurt. I closed my eyes as she treated me.
"Damaged goods…"
"Hmm?"
"Nothing."
She returned to her work. It always fascinated me the way she healed people. Not in your face and stiff, like a professional…It almost had the feel of playing doctor. Her hands hovering over my flesh made me warm, and I felt taxed, the last few nights of no sleep not waning on me. I felt her fingers stop, the re-bandaging complete. Hands left chest as I felt her weight recede from the bed. I felt something brush my lips. A kiss?
The faint taste of the tobacco was almost enough to make me high. I opened my eyes a little.
Above me, I could see Maeve, a lighter held in her hand and a smile held on her face.
"Thought you could use that."
I puffed a little smoke and closed my eyes as she kissed me tenderly on the forehead and left. I woke up at the early hours of the day, ash in my eyes from the cigarette burning out as I slept with it in my mouth. I smiled.
