The Confession

When the bell rang, the students of Konoha High went rushing through the gate. Everyone was excited to go home for it was a weekend tomorrow. The gang stayed at the parking lot for a while, talking about their activity tomorrow.

"Eight o'clock means eight o'clock, Tenten." said the pinkette. "You're usually late when it comes to these events."

"But, Sakura!" the brunette replied, making the 'a' on Sakura's name long. "It' not my fault I wake up late."

"M-Maybe you should s-set your alarm an h-hour e-earlier before the exact t-time we have t-to m-meet up." Hinata suggested, stuttering, as always. No one knew why she was like this, but they just took it that she was really shy.

"Anyway, Kiba and Ino need to make up. Even if they get back to just being friends." Temari said. "Their fight has to stop and it's totally going off hand."

"What exactly happened to them?" Naruto asked. He hadn't heard of the complete story yet.

"Let's just say they both got the wrong idea when they were out with another person." Shikamaru explained.

Suddenly, they heard a few beeps coming from Temari's pocket. "Sorry, guys." she said. "My brothers are going to kill me if I don't get home NOW."

Sasuke sighed. "I guess I need to get going as well. Itachi's band is coming over and I don't want them inside my room."

Soon, only three of them were left. Neji and Tenten started walking away (Since Neji's car was being fixed at the moment), but stopped when Hinata wasn't following them. "Aren't you coming with us, Hinata?"

She shook her head. "I-I need to go buy some g-groceries for Mr. R-Ramen. I'll see you at the m-mansion, nii-san. B-Bye, Tenten." And with that, she walked the opposite way from them.

When Neji and Tenten reached their street, Tenten noticed that Neji was red all that time. Was he mad or was he hiding something? She decided to start a conversation. "Hey, what's wrong? Why are you all red?" she said, pointing her index finger at him.

Neji turned to her and shook his head. "Nothing's wrong. I just- Nevermind…"

There was definitely something. So, Tenten shrugged and decided to ask a random question that's been going on in her mind for quite some time now. "Hey, Neji. I'm your best friend, right?"

"Aside from Lee, yes." he nodded.

"The t-tell me," she continued, turning a bit red. "who do you like?"

"No one." he answered. "I love someone."

Tenten was a bit surprised by his answer. Her face suddenly turned pale and her expression changed. "R-Really?" Getting back, she smiled at him. "Well, since we are best friends, call her. I wanna meet her."

"Okay." Neji took his phone out and dialed a number.

Suddenly, Tenten felt her phone vibrate. "Excuse me, I have to answer this." She flipped her phone open and answered the call. "Hello?"

"I love you, Tenten."

Realizing that the voice was coming from the boy in front of her, he looked at him. He was smiling. "I can't believe this is happening!" she thought. Unaware of her next move, his mouth started twitching, wanting to say something.

Neji shoved his phone in his pocket and hugged her suddenly. "I love you, Tenten." he repeated. He lifted her face to his level and kissed her passionately.

She wrapped her arms around his neck and returned the kiss.

When they broke for some air, he smirked at her. "I'll take that as you feel the same way? Since when?"

"Oh don't get me started, Hyuga."

Anyway, if you're curious to find out what happened to Kiba and Ino, then I suggest you stick with me until I post my series fic about NejiTen. Of course, there will be OTHER pairings. I'm still working on it, so it will be posted SOON :D
