Chap 1
Summary: Neglected by his parents, and shunned by the village for not having chakra, Naruto will rise as the champion of the Beasts. Watch as he turns the elemental nations on its side.

Six years have passed since the Yomdaime Hokage Minato Namikaze saved the village from a masked man, who used a powerful Sharingan to control the Kyuubi upon Konoha. Minato managed to seal the Kyuubi's yang chakra into his newborn son, and managed to kill the masked Uchiha with a well-placed Rasengan, along with a fuinjutsu that paralyzed the masked man. From there, Minato summoned the Shinigami and performed the Shiki Fuin, and separated the Kyuubi's yang chakra, and sealed it into Naruto, while he had the yin chakra sealed in himself. Hiruzen Sarutobi, the retired Sandaime Hokage, and Minato's widow Kushina Uzumaki appeared on the battlefield, where Minato used the last of his strength to tell them what had happened, and Naruto was to be seen as a hero. Hiruzen then announced to the populace of what occurred, and horrified to see that a majority of the village were calling for his death, but were immediately silenced by the unleashing of KI from not only Hiruzen, but Kushina, and her elder twin daughters Narumi and Natsumi.
PRESENT
A 6-year old Naruto was currently racing through the forest outside of Konoha, with a mob of villagers and shinobi. This had been an on and off routine all day, and now it was night. "Man, what did I ever do to deserve this" Naruto thought, taking a detour, and ended up in an open clearing in the forest.
"Kill the demon."
"Let's do this for Yomdaime-sama."
Soon the mob had Naruto surrounded, with Naruto backed against a huge rock. Little did the group know, there were two spectators watching from the trees, and neither looked to happy, and decided to make their presence known. "Shall we my friend" a gruff but soft voice inquired to his companion? "I couldn't agree more" the second voice said.
NARUTO
"Now we'll kill you demon" a shinobi said, brandishing a katana. Just before a move was made two cracks shattered the air.
"Ah-wooo!"
"Eeeecccchhhh!"
Everything froze as two figures leapt into the clearing. The first was a tall humanoid werewolf covered in black and gray fur, and in one hand was a large blade-like weapon. His eyes were glowing with anger seeing the mob. The second figure was a large humanoid bird-like creature, and he too, much like the wolf looked angry. "Leave this cub alone, or suffer my wrath" the wolf said with an eerie calm. One very brave or very foolish shinobi sneered at the wolf's threat. "Like you can hurt-Gurk!" In less than a minute the shinobi was bisected from the shoulder to his hip in a diagonal fashion, and hit the ground. "Any other brave ones amongst you" the wolf asked? The mob looked at the two creatures and then at Naruto, before racing back to Konoha. Once the mob was gone, the two creatures carefully approached the frightened Naruto. "Young one, do not be afraid, for we will not harm you" the wolf said calmly. "My name is the Duke Wolf Zen-Aku, and this is my Companion Bud" the now identified Zen-Aku said. "Why were those people chasing a child such as yourself? Bud asked? Naruto introduced himself, and told them of his life, and his burden, which made both Zen-Aku and Bud nod grimly. "Even after so many generations one form of pollution still exists, and it is the worst kind" Zen-Aku thought with sorrow. Both Zen-Aku and Bud then told Naruto of their lives, and what they had done. Zen-Aku then had an idea. "Naruto, how would you like to become stronger and protect those you cherish" the wolf asked?

"There's usually a catch with that kind of deal" Naruto said, as the two nodded. "Indeed, however if you desire, you can use these" Zen-Aku said, holding out eight crystals with an animal on it, while Bud held similar items. "These are the Animal Crystals and the Champion's Proof, and will give you a powerful armor that can form different combinations" Bud said. "Take my crystals, take my weapon, and take my flute" Zen-Aku said, as he presented the items to Naruto. You see, both of us are ready to pass on, and we want you to carry on our legacies" Zen-Aku said. "I'd be truly honored" Naruto said. Both Zen-aku and Bud placed their hands on Naruto's seal, and channeled a small amount of power, activating the absorption part of the seal. "Always remember this." "Protect the animals." "Protect nature", and look to the animals to guide you on your journey" Zen-Aku said. Look to the animals in time of need" Zen-Aku's voice echoed, as he and Bud faded away. It was then, Naruto's future began to become brighter than anyone would think.

Now to explain a few things:
Naruto's merging with both Zen-Aku and Bud changed his body structure, making him 1/3 human, 1/3 werewolf, and 1/3 alien/animal, thus he would be unaffected by their weaknesses, however he isn't unbeatable.
As for the other animal crystals and xyu cubes, Naruto will earn them in various tests.
Finally, if you wish to request a crystal/cube that never appeared in either show, I just ask that you give me the following info:
