The moment drug on for what seemed like hours, he had delivered the final blow to her, and she turned and fled into her room, biting her lip. A real shinboi didn't cry, but she'd been bottling tears since the word came to her when she was two that her mother was dead. Not once did she cry, she was strong, a shoulder for others, but this was to much.
She head the door close and she fell to her knees infront of the mirror. Shikamaru had left her, stupid lazy genuis, he shouldn't of gone on the mission. Wrapping her arms around her swelling belling she hiccuped and looked into the silver, the girl looked nothing like the smiling woman in the picture above it. Red eyes and tear stained face she sat there and cried her heart out.
Tears fell for her family, her mom, her past, her future, her baby, her husband, the villages that were still feuding even after a peace treaty was signed. Punching the floor she tried to stop the falling tears, she had to get control of herself.
"Dammit," she roared, her pain ebbing into anger, if that idoit hadn't knocked her up she could of been fighting too, she could be with him now. He could still be alive. "Why..." The rush of rage faded into sorrow once more and she shook with sobs, "it's not fair."
A gentle knock on her door startled her, choking out a response to the noise, trying to make her voice as normal as possible, "H-hello." But she failed.
The door slid open slowly and tear filled eyes saw the smallest memeber of the family. "Temari-nee." The wind wielder saw that her sister's eyes were red too. "It'll be okay. I promise."
Walking over almost silently the Hyuuga girl sat down and pulled the crying girl into a hug. Burrying her head into the shoulder of her sister-in-law, and current best friend she vented. "No it won't!! It never will. Not anymore!"
Rubbing the crying girls back, "Shh, Temari-nee. You know the same thing happened to my Kurenai-nee with Asuma-sensei. Things will get better, okay."
"No it won't!!" Punding her fists on Hinata's back she shook her head furiously. "No! No! No!"
"Shh..."
"It won't, it won't, it can't..."
The door slid open again, this time a redhead just walked in, his face showing worry. Walking over just like his wife had done he sat down, wrapping his pale arms around his sister. "Temari-nii."
Hinata began to gently rock Temari back and forth like she'd do to sooth a child. "Breath. Shhh... Breath."
Temari gasped for air and hiccuped. "I can't."
Trying to hide her tears from her little brother she bit her lip and breathed in through her nose and exhaled out of her mouth. "Temari-nii..." Gaara didn't know how to comfort someone it wasn't something he was used to, Temari normally did it, but she was the one who needed it now, "things will get easier..."
Sniffing, slowly regaining control over herself she nodded, "Also," Gaara took his sister into his lips and put her hands back on her swollen belly, "you'll have him with you, like mom's in my sand."
Smiling sadly at the mention of her brother's attachment to sand, "I supose."
Hinata scooted over beside the to and took one of Temari's hands in her little one, "And all of us will help you, promise, the baby won't ever lack anything."
Kankuro chose that moment to walk in, still clueless, with a carton of empty orange juice in his hand,"WHO DRANK THE REST OF IT!!'"
Unable to stop herself, Temari started laughing, the uncontrolable kind, you just can't stop, no matter what you try. It can be the stupidest thing but it still helps with the pain.
