hey hey hey! It's melmel. This story is based on the movie/musical Cats. Well, I guess that I'm back into writing, so enjoy all my stories!
A Major CATastrophe
Let me give you some background on the cats in my story. The main characters are:
1. Demeter~ Demeter is a cat that has been ravished and raped. Because of this, she has trouble coming to trust the male cats. Her guardian, and constant companion/friend is Bombalurina.
2 Munkistrap~ He is the leader of all the cats. Munkistrap really wants to be liked by Demeter.
3. Bombalurina~ She is the guardian of Demeter. This cat is sly and sneaky, she knows how to manipulate the male cats.
4. Grizabella~ This cat vas very beautiful in her younger days. Now, she is old and a former prostitute.
5. Macavity~ The agonist. (Bad Guy) He is a big time criminal. And he doesn't smell to good either.
Anyway, on with the story.
The day is May 13th, 1939. It is the night of the Jellicle Ball. A ball where all of the Jellicle, a kind of cat, cats meet to find out which of them can be reborn into a new life. The choice on who gets to be reborn is made by the Jellicle Elder, Deuteronomy.
" I hope that I get picked!" Demeter said anxiously to Bombalurina. " Then I can forget everything that has happened to me in the past, and start life anew."
" I hope you do to dear. You know that I wish whatever is best for you."
" Well, I hope that I get picked!' Munkistrap said. "I am the leader of us cats, and I deserve it most.'
" Well, I think that it should be I that gets to start a new life." Grizabella said in her crackly voice.
All around these cats, were other members of the Jellicle family. There was Victoria, the old queen of the cats. Rum Tum Tugger, the rebel in the group. Jenny Any Dots, the tidy one of the felines. Everyone had a good chance. Everyone except Macavity. He was rotten to the core. He sat alone in a corner of the deserted street where the ball was being held. A devilish smirk on his face.
" Ahem, I will now announce the cat which can be reborn," Deuteronomy said.
The room filled with overwhelming silence. Demeter and Bombalurina crossed their fingers hopefully. Munkistrap held his head erect with pride. Grizabella shrunk down in self pity. Macavity was ready to pounce if his name wasn't called.
" The cat which gets the chance to live life again is........................Grizabella." The elder said.
With that, Macavity struck. His claws glaring, he shoved them into the neck of Grizabella as she walked up to meet the elder. The ferocious feline then went and slashed anything else that got in his path of destruction. SLASH. There went Demeter, and Bombalurina, who tried to defend her best friend. Finally, after everyone in the street, he took his claws to his throat and took his own life. Since he was the only candidate for being reborn, he automatically got the privilege. The murderous cat was reborn. His new name was..............GARFIELD.
