Daniel swiped at his sweaty hair, trying to control his panicked breaths. "Do I really have to do this Jack?" he asked through gritted teeth.
Jack grinned at him. "Yes, Daniel you have to do this. You've already asked me that about a dozen times, the answer is still not going to change. Now loosen your grip a little before your hands cramp up."
Daniel took a glance down – all thirty foot down and bit back a groan before snatching his glance back away . Okay, he could do this. For Sha're and Sk'aara. He could get through this. Lord only knew why he had to learn how to abseil though. It wasn't like he was going to have to jump off a cliff to rescue them. He just needed to get the snakes out of them, that was all. But Jack needed him to learn abseiling before he could become a team member – and if that's what it took to get him out there looking for them, than he would learn. Still … abseiling?
Jack, are you really sure I have to learn to do this?
