Hey! I know I haven't written in a while, but I really wanted to write something for the last movie. *small sob* It's so weird that everything's over, isn't it?
(Not including Pottermore, which I'm CRAZY excited about.)
Well, as you know, I'm not rich, famous, or amazingly talented, so there's no way I could own Harry Potter. Just saying.
This story takes place when Harry wakes up at King's Cross. I think you can catch on from there :)
"I've got to go back, haven't I?"
"That is up to you."
"I've got a choice?"
"Oh yes." Dumbledore smiled at him. "We are in King's Cross, you say? I think that if you decided not to go back, you would be able to… let's say… board a train."
"And where would it take me?"
"On," Said Dumbledore simply.
Did he want to go back? Did he want to face all the families who had lost children, parents, because they died fighting for him? Did he want to be looked at with such pain, such disappointment? What did he have to look forward to?
Harry sat on the cobblestone floor of King's Cross, head in his knees.
But there were some things to look forward to. Ron and Hermione, finally together as a couple. Percy, back into the Weasley family. Neville, with new courage and a brave heart that had been long been hiding underneath him.
Most of all, Ginny, who had patiently waited for him. Ginny, who had been so strong. Ginny, whom he had missed since he broke it off with her. Ginny, whom he loved.
Dumbledore was talking to Harry, and the more time wore on, the more the decision felt stupid, as if he had been ignoring an obvious answer.
Of course he was going back. Harry knew he wasn't going to leave everyone with lost hope. He needed to go back and finish Voldemort, he needed to end this, once and for all.
But also, he needed to see Ginny again. He had to tell her that he would never leave her again, that he would always be by her side. He needed to tell her that he loved her.
There was no going back, but there was no mistaking how sure he was. And that's all Harry needed to know.
Thanks for reading! Tell me what you think! Review, review!
