Song- No Light, No Light

Artist- Florence and The Machine

On Other Sides Of The Door

"You are the hole in my head. You are the space in my bed. You are the silence in between what I thought and what I said. You are the night time fear. You are the morning when it's clear. When it's over you'll start. You're my head. You're my heart" Nate whispered as he stared at the door his eyes glossy with tears threatening to fall.

Sophie stared back at the door wondering if she should go back. "No light, no light in your bright blue eyes. I never knew daylight could be so violent. A revelation in the light of day. You can't choose what stays and what fades away. And I'd do anything to make you stay. No light, no light…No light. Tell me what you want me to say." She wiped the tears from her face.

"Through the crowd, I was crying out. And in your place there were a thousand other faces. I was disappearing in plain sight. Heaven help me, I need to make it right. You want a revelation, you wanna get it right. But, it's a conversation, I just can't have tonight." His voice cracked and he shook his head in dismay.

"You want a revelation. Some kind of resolution. You want a revelation. No light, no light in your bright blue eyes. I never knew daylight could be so violent. A revelation in the light of day. You can't choose what stays and what fades away." Sophie felt a surge of pain at the words.

"And I'd do anything to make you stay"

"Would you leave me, if I told you what I've done?" The words got caught in Sophies throat.

"And would you need me, if I told you what I've become?" Nate felt tears start to fall down his face

"'Cause it's so easy, to say it to a crowd. But it's so hard, my love,
To say it to you alone"

"No light, no light in your bright blue eyes" Sophie looked at the door with a sad smile

"I never knew daylight could be so violent" Nate took a step closer to the door

"A revelation in the light of day, you can't choose what stays and what fades away" Sophie touched her head to the door, looking down at her feet.

Nate put his palm onto the door, his face so close he was breathing on it. "And I'd do anything to make you stay"

"No light, no light…No light. Tell me what you want me to say. You want a revelation, you wanna get it right. But, it's a conversation, I just can't have tonight."

"You want a revelation"

"Some kind of resolution"

"Tell me what you want me to say."

Nate dropped his hand to the door and opened it. Sophie stumbled in, since she had put all her weight on the door. She fell right into his arms and he caught her, helping to steadying herself back on her feet. "You came back?" He whispered

"I never left" Sophie looked up at him. "I couldn't"

"I never want to lose you again. You're my Sophie" Nate murmured brushing a stray piece of hair out of her face.

"I love you Nate" Sophie rested her head on his chest

"I love you too Soph" Nate whispered kissing the top of her head
