Need Help?
Bakura flopped down on the park bench, feeling it groan under the unexpected weight. He looked up at the sky, turning darker by the second. It started to rain, lightly at first, then pouring heavily. He felt…alone.
More alone than the night he had found his town, Kul Elna, completely destroyed. More alone than the time he said yes to that haunting demon, Zorc. He chuckled. The "Dark Lords" name sure is threatening.
Well, no more. He'd finally pushed that bloody demon out of his life, swearing never to do that again. Bakura hated doing those things, but Zorc wouldn't let him have a say in anything.
Bakura sighed to himself. Bloody stupid sentimentals. Now, he had nothing. Nobody. No place.
Alone in a world he didn't know.
"Need help?" a sudden voice pulled him from his thoughts. Bakura looked up again, the rain water dripping down his cheeks, hiding his tears effectively.
He couldn't see who it was, but their hand was out stretched towards him, palm up. Bakura didn't feel like reaching up to cup the trusting hand. He was too tired.
"Don't worry. I won't bite." the voice said. Bakura chuckled sadistically. I might, he thought to himself.
"You don't recognize me? Wow, you really are messed up," the voice said. Bakura thought hard thru all the terrible feelings growing in his stomach. No...it couldn't be.
"Hikari?" he asked, looking up thru the darkness. Rain water pooled down his face, a far away glance clouding his eyes.
"Yes, idiot, so come on before we catch a cold," he said, chuckling. Bakura frowned. Was this a trick? Why would Ryou be out here in the rain trying to help?
"After all I did to you?" Bakura whispered softly, glancing away from the outstretched hand. He was so tempted.
"Don't ask questions. Just take my hand," Ryou said, forcing his hand into Bakura's view.
What should I do, Bakura asked himself. I hurt him a lot and he's trusting me again? Bakura felt like his head was going to explode. He looked up again.
"W-why?" he asked shakily.
"Because, you need help and I can give it. Thats all that matters. Take my hand and lets go," Ryou insisted, shivering a little as rain dripped past his rain coat and onto his face.
Bakura wondered why he couldn't take his hikari's hand. He couldn't bring himself to it. After all the terrible things he had done to his sweet Hikari and he still came out in the cold rain to help him. Why?
Suddenly, he felt himself being pulled to his feet. He blinked, confused. Since when had Ryou gotten so strong?
"Good. Now let's go," Ryou said, taking Bakura's hand and begining to drag him away from the lonely park bench. Bakura didn't know what to do, so he just let himself be pulled away.
He felt the hand clasped in his own hand. He felt the caring and…forgivness radiating from his Hikari. Forgiveness. What a nice feeling.
Maybe this time will be different.
Kibei: Short and no real plot. :3
Miki: Great?
Kibei: Yeah…I know I am not that great of a writer. Review~!
