Drake and Eddie sat side by side in pure silence. They both knew how intense the fight would be. They didn't have the same innocence the others in the group had. This wasn't their first war. Drake seemed noticeable distressed, Eddie hated to admit it but Drake had more to lose, he was more of a father to Elliot than Eddie was.

To Drake the people fighting alongside him weren't comrades, they were companions, and Eddie knew Eddie KNEW how broken Drake was internally. That man had been through more on a daily basis than anyone should have to in a lifetime. Eddie was Drake's only true outlet.

Every night Drake would collapse into a sobbing shivering mess in the Limiter's arms. Eddie would just sit there holding the larger man in his arms, stroking his hair as Drake cried like a child into Eddie's chest. Around the other Drake was a strong confident leader with no fears. When he and Eddie were alone however, he would act like a young child who lost their innocence a little too soon.

Eddie looked over at Drake, face in his hands. mentally prepping himself for the hell that he would suffer through. Eddie suddenly had ane idea

"Drake?"

"What?" Drake looked up clutching his legs close to his body like a security blanket.

"There's something I need to give you...in case we don't make it out of this thing alive.."

"what is it?" Drake looked over to Eddie confused, about to ask what could be so important. However it seemed like all brain activity in Drake shut down the second it happened

Eddie cupped Drake's chin in his hand and brushed his pale lips against Drake's his creamy white complexion turning pink in hue. Drake's eyes dilated as Eddie's hands traveled up Drake's shirt.

Eddie pulled away, realizing he went too far and looked up at drake who quickly turned away. Drakes hands covered the lower section of his face and his face was a bright red. His mind racing, love songs he had shrugged off came rushing to the front of his mind

that WAS his first kiss.
Not just with Eddie.
Not just with another man.

Just his first kiss
and most likely his last.
