His hands clutched at his belly as pain ripped through him. Bigger hands fought his writhing to pull them away.
"Dean! Dean, let me see!"
"N-No!"
"Dammit!" More grappling finally led to victory, and Sam pulled Dean's hands away, leaning in to exam the wounds. When it dawned on him what he was seeing, Sam's mouth dropped open.
"Dean, there's nothing there!"
"There has to be!" Dean muttered through clenched teeth, "it hurts like a motherf-f—" He broke off and groaned.
Sam stared at Dean's unmarked belly in shock. Where he'd expected blood there was smooth skin and muscle.
