Fights between Whisper and her roommate were nothing new to either them or the unfortunate inhabbitants of the Hero's Guild. Whether it was a small bickering over who had this and that first or full out fights with weapons and magic it was their special way of bonding. These fights would usually end with the farmboy grinning stupidly down at her while offering to help her up. However, there were a few occasions when Whisper would stand triumphantly over the mute apprentice while he basked in the shame of being defeated by a girl. He may have had reach, but she had flexibility.
There were a few odd occasions when their fights would become more than good-hearted duels, such as one winter's day when they had both been foul-mooded and neither were helping. They had both gotten angry and taken it out on each other, he had disrespected her brother, shouting profanities and happily telling her the rumors about him situating around the guild. In turn she had screamed about his parents, told him it was his fault they had died, swearing that they probably never wanted him in the first place. Words turned to punches and kicks and soon escalated to weapon weilding and lightning shooting.
The next week had been spent glaring at each other from across the medical ward as they sat there bandaged and helpless as potion after potion was shoved down their throats.
And so they decided to settle their squabbles for the final time. When they were both fully healed they locked the door to their dorm room and began their final duel...
Untill they discovered a much better way to release their stress and frustration. He was able to put his reach to good use while she showed just how flexible she could be...
