As I drove into the parking lot of Forks High I saw Alice shooing Emmett and Edward away from her the Bugatti she was standing next to. I figured it was her new car considering she gets one almost every year. As I drove closer I could hear Edward complaining even through the closed window.

"…the car for you! I have all my rights to just LOOK at it don't I!?!?"

Alice just shook her head and turned her back on them to talk to Rosalie. I parked my good old truck in the space next to Edward car and walked over to Alice. Before I even got there Alice was in front of me blabbing about her new car.

"Look Bella isn't it gorgeous? I just love it!! Edward is the best brother in the WORLD!"

I stopped listening after a while and turned to Emmett who was currently trying to sneak up behind me.

"Emmett I am human, but I am most defiantly not blind!!"

"awwww...well I though me being a vampire I could sneak up on you and scare you before Edward came over here to kill me."

"Now why would I try to kill my own brother? I'm not THAT mean" Edward said as he walked over to us.

"Edward you have to stop using that power of yours! It puts the rest of us at a disadvantage." said Emmett as he miserably failed to put on a fake moody attitude and burst out laughing.

"Edward, hi!!!" I said as I leaped into his arms to give him a hug.

"Hello Bella, how are you??" he whispered into my hair

"I'm good but you seem to be having a little trouble with Alice this morning. What was all that complaining about anyway?"

"Well…I got Alice a new car for her birthday-"

"Three! That's three cars in the past year! You have to stop spoiling her Edward!"

"She wanted one!! Anyway…so I got her the new car and now she doesn't even want to let me touch it!! She said I wasn't "special enough" to even look at it!" he was very pouty by the time he was done with his story.

"Oh Edward don't worry about what Alice said! You will always be more than special to me!!" I said soothingly and leaned into kiss him. After what seemed like two seconds, but was actually around one minute, we broke apart. "I could go and talk to her if you want…"

"No…." Edward stared to say but his voice was drowned out by the bell.

As I walked into homeroom the first thin I saw was Jasper huddled in a corner of the classroom with an evil grin spreading across his face. I walked over to him and waited for him to notice me. Of course that didn't happen and he continued to rock back and forth muttering under his breath.

"ummm…Jasper are you okay?" I asked timidly.

There was no response, only more muttering.

I slowly crouched down next to him and yelled his name into his ear.

"Huh? Oh Bella!! Good to see you! How long have you been here?" he asked cheerfully.

"Jasper are you okay?? You seem a bit…disoriented today."

"No, I'm perfectly alright. Why do you ask?" he said in his overexerted happy voice.

"Oh never mind then. It's nothing. It's just good that you're alright."

As I turned away from him I saw an evil glint in his eyes. What was going to happen? What was he planning?
