Alice stood in the warm February air of Mesa, Arizona, AC/DC shirt and Batman pants hanging around her form limply. Her hair was pulled back in a low ponytail, with a new Stephen King book in hand. She had always loved Arizona since she was a little girl and that same love was still with her as a woman. One of her little cousins was staying the night and she was out in the garage with her mother, aunt, and grandmother.

Vaguely, Alice listened to what they were saying, not really following the conversation. She bust out laughing at her book as she read that one of the characters named Arnie flipped off a little kid because he told him to put Christine in a "trasher-masher". She had never been sure why but it was always funny to read- or see- someone get flipped off most of the time. "Why is that funny?" she murmured quietly to herself.

Alice glanced up at the nearly empty street, spotting a figure walking up towards the house. Shane, her cousin, was riding around on his scooter but didn't seem to be in any danger. Then again, Alice was always cautious about people and she did like horror and mystery a bit too much. Her other family members noticed the figure as well, also cautious of him. "Excuse me, ladies." he called, politely, "Do any of you know where I might find Donna Sage's house?"

Alice silently stared at him as he spoke. That voice couldn't possibly be Benedict's. He was filming in London. Right..? She watched as he took a step closer, his face coming into better view. "Benedict?" Alice flat out asked.

The man's head snapped towards her. "Alice?" he asked.

There was no mistaking it at this point. It was Benedict alight. Alice rushed towards him happily, throwing her arms around him. He wrapped his arms around her, grinning into her hair. "What the hell? I thought you were shooting a movie in London." she told him.

"We were, but finished a few days ago. I came as a surprise for Valentines day." he responded.

"Oh for god's sake. You could've told me you finished!"

"That would've ruined the surprise."

Alice rolled her eyes, "Not if you managed to word it the right way. Come on, you're staying with us tonight."

"Where?"

"On the mattress with me."

"Do you really think that's a good idea?" Alice's mom asked from the garage.

"Mom, do you really think that I haven't slept in the same bed as him? I'm 25"

Alice's mom shrugged. Her daughter had a point. Alice dragged Benedict into the house with her, ignoring the stares from her grandmother and aunt. In her mind this was possibly the best Valentine's day she ever had. "Alice." Benedict said as he leaned against the door, "will you go to dinner with me tomorrow night?"

Alice looked at him with a smirk, "How about you come to dinner with my family and I? We had plans for it anyways."

Benedict smiled at her before nodding. He grabbed her hand, pulled her close and planted a lingering kiss to her lips. He had been wanting to do that for so long. Alice responded gladly, wanting to do the same thing for quite some time.

AN: OK so I kinda based this off a fan fiction I'm writing in a notebook. I also had this idea running through my head all day and just typed it late at night so it's probably crappier than it seems to me. I swear if any of the actors I write fan fiction about ever saw this, I'm not sure what I would do... Probably flip my lid. Hope you liked!
