Title: After the Sleepover

Nobue watched Miu as she slept. Due to her feelings being hurt by the older girl, she had been asked to sleep in the twenty-year-old's bed for comfort.
'I had no idea….' Nobue thought. 'that she would be so upset at what I said.' She gently reached over to stroke the brunette's hair, and then her flushed, twelve-year-old face.
'Sometimes, she can be so immature, that I guess she is on the bottom of the cuteness list for me. I didn't mean to make her cry when I said that Anna was my favorite.'
She felt the need to hug the younger girl. She felt bad for her.
'She's been mean to us a lot, and to Anna. Was she really competing with her for my attention this long?'
She moved a little bit closer to Miu.
'Anna being first, Matsuri being second, Chika being third, and because of how she acts…. Miu IS last. I don't know how to tell her that I'm sorry.'
She slowly, carefully, and quietly, kissed her forehead. Miu suddenly moved in her sleep. Quickly, Nobue moved away from her, fearing that she would wake up.
'It's kind of heartwarming that she cares so much for me that she would cry when I picked someone else over her. It's also sad.'
She was quick to realize that the sleeping girl had only moved due to a reflex from being touched.
"Nobue…." She said in her sleep. The older girl was startled and answered her.
"Yes, Miu?"
"Nobue…." She said again.
"Oh…. She must be…. Dreaming." Nobue said. She gave Miu a quick hug, and then moved back over to her side of the bed for the night.
'She's been lonely, too.'
And after that last thought, the ebony haired girl let herself slowly fall asleep. It was difficult.
