Title: Bothering Chika
Anime: Ichigo Mashimaro
Chika Ito laid her head down on her desk. She was listening to calming music, trying to forget about her headache. There was no aspirin in the house, so Nobue went out to get some. Through her headphones, she heard the well-known sound of feet tapping loudly against multiple rooftops.
'Ugh…. Here she comes.' Chika thought. She turned her head to the side, pressing her cheek against the cool wood. She brought a hand up to her head and rubbed it, messing up her black hair a little bit.
Without warning, in through the window came Chika's friend Miu Matsuoka, who was ready to play. Chika, however, wasn't prepared.
"Hey, Chika!" the girl with light brown hair said. There was no answer from the girl at the desk. Miu walked over to the desk and yelled, "HEY, CHIKA!" directly in her ear. Her headache made the yell seem much louder and more painful than it really was.
"Cut it out, Miu! My head hurts!" Chika yelled back, a little less loudly. She was now standing from her seat, panting because her heart was pounding from her irritation.
"Well gee, tell me next time!" Miu said in a carefree way., her hands behind her head. "So, what's there to do? I'm bored."
"If you're bored, go find someone else to play with."
"Aww, that's mean! Why so mean?"
"I already told you! I have a headache!"
"Then go take some aspirin! And while you're downstairs getting some, could ya make some cookies? I'm hungry."
"Go HOME and get some cookies! And Nobue's out getting aspirin for me!"
"I don't have any at home."
By now, Chika was incredibly annoyed. She finally snapped.
"OUT!" she started to push Miu towards the window, and then finally got her back onto the roof. She locked the window and closed the blinds.
"Hey!" Miu banged on the window. "Let me back in! Chika! HEY, CHIKA! CHIIIIKAAAA!"
Chika now had her soothing music back in her ears, and her head was back on her desk. Knowing Miu for as long as she has, she knew that the persistent annoyance outside of her window would be there banging on it for a while. She groaned and thought,
'Today's gonna be a long day.'
