Potential Slayer

Kagome Higurashi sat at the kitchen table listening to the odd man named Giles. She should have known that some of her grandfather's stories were true when she traveled down the well, not that she was complaining. She loved jewel hunting, and her new friends, but most of all she loved being around Inu-Yasha. Yeah sure he was rough around the edges, but all in all, he was the sweetest guy she knew.

Giles had come to the shrine earlier in the morning when Kagome was packing for another shard hunt. He seemed nice, and he was sane as far as she could tell. Her mother took in everything Giles said like he was, well, a demon lord. She had offered hospitality to him until Kagome's father came home from the army later that night.

He had been serving since Kagome was born and she never really got to see him at all. Hell he didn't even know about Inu-Yasha. She was sure he'd flip when he found out. So here she sat listening to Giles explain what was going on to her family. Her father took it very seriously, considering he had heard about what was going on in Sunny dale.

Well, said Mr. Higurashi, I think that Kagome should go. It is in her own interest and they may need her help. What, yelled Sota, we can't let her go she'd be a whole lot safer here. Mom you know I'm right. Inu-Yasha would never let anything to happen to any of us, especially Kagome.

Grandpa Higurashi agreed with Sota but he knew his Son in law was right so he made a suggestion. Kagome dear why don't you take your little dog friend with you, I'm sure they would be thankful for the help Inu-Yasha would provide.

Well who is this Inu-Yasha person asked Mr. Higurashi. Sota was quick to jump in and explain about his "hero". Meanwhile Kagome couldn't believe her ears. They hadn't even asked her what she wanted, though Grandpa's idea was very appealing to her. Giles seemed to agree with her with the sudden interest he was showing towards Sota and his story. Finally Giles spoke up. I think it would be a good idea if this Inu-Yasha came along. So it was decided then. Kagome now had to convince Inu-Yasha to come along, a feat next to impossible. Well here goes nothing said Kagome to herself. She headed to the well and then to the village to confront Inu-Yasha.
