This is my first story. I'm not sure if I'm doing this right so...
It's kind of like a song/poem.

Hurry my love
Open the door
Or forever lost I will become

In your heart

The love we shared long ago

I loved you like no other
You loved me the same way
Or so it seemed to me anyway

But was it true
It can't have been
If you left me like you did

I found this out the hard way
When I saw you with her again

You looked at her
She looked at you
You told her how you felt

You said baby, you're the only one
The only one for me
She said what about that other girl
What does she mean to you

I watched you from the shadows
I made no sound it's true
The tears they poured out silently
A dagger near (hand clenched round) my heart

You gazed into her hopeful eyes
Your words were so sincere
In a way I'd never heard or seen
In all our many years

It was then that I knew
That whatever came next must be true

I waited with bated breath
For what I knew was next
You didn't disappoint me
When you looked at her and said

She means nothing to me
Nothing at all
You're the one I need to be with

Then she looked at you and smiled
Tears forming in her eyes
I'm glad to hear you say that
I'm glad to know it's true

You smiled back
A true smile too
Something I realized
I'd never gotten from you

I watched you from the shadows
I made no sound it's true
The tears they poured out silently
A dagger on (hand clenched round) my heart

Your hands were around her
As you leaned down to her ear
You whispered sweet nothings
All of them too quiet to hear

Then suddenly your lips claimed hers
Both her eyes were wide
But slowly they slid shut
And she responded to you

She placed her arms around your neck
As the snow fell all around you
Oh how I wished that that was me
Oh how I wished it was

I watched you from the shadows
I made no sound it's true
The tears they poured out silently
A dagger in (hand clenched round) my heart

I couldn't stop it then
A sob escaped my chest
I clapped my hand over my mouth
But it was far too late

You broke apart and stared at me
In both horror and surprise
We both stood there
How long I do not know

As I turned and fled
You called out my name
But I didn't hear you
For I was already gone

I ran and ran till I reached the tree
The one I first saw you at
The one I freed you from
And the one I realized I loved you at

I felt my heart break then
I knew there was no hope
For you were too far gone
To look for any hope

And I no longer
Watch you from the shadows
I am no longer silent as I was
The tears there are no more
I lost the last one long ago
I pulled the dagger from my heart
But the wound will never heal

I'm still bleeding here
But I can never die
For I feel no pain
As I close my eyes

Hurry my love
Open the door
