"James!" Lily laughed aloud. "Where are we going?"
James, who still had his hands covering Lily's eyes, smirked
mischievously.
"You'll just have to wait and see, won't you Evans?"
Lily Evans, James potter's current girlfriend, now knew all of James'
antics and tones. Each tone includes an expression.
Lily groaned "you're smirking, aren't you? Is the surprise good? Or am
I going to get humiliated?"
Silence.
"James?"
Said boy finally answer; "well that all depends on how you take it."
Then finally they stopped and James uncovered Lily's eyes. She gasped
at the wondrous sight.
"How did you find this?" Lily questioned.
"Ah ah ah, a true magician never reveals his secrets," James joked
"but I'll tell you that I found this place in 3rd year and that Sirius
doesn't even know about this place," he finished while laying on the
grass.
"The place", as Lily deemed it named for now, was a short cliff on a
mountain with wildflowers growing everwhere (no spefic color). With a
grand view of the Forbidden forest. But not just any view; a view of
the unicorns territory, and in the distance a sillouete of Hogwarts.
"so," Lily started casually "what's the real surprise?"
James looked at here shocked.
"What makes you think there's more? Or that this isn't the surprise?"
Lily gave him a look that said "nice try".
"First off why would this be a bad surprise, or a humiliating surprise?"
James smiled at her.
"Fine, but first... You love me right?"
He asked hesitantly, shocking Lily.
"Of course I love you James! What makes you ask?"
James looked at her straight in the eyes, full of love.
"This," he bent down on one knee and pulled out a ring.
"Lily Evans, I know we're close to graduation but I've always loved
this spot and thought it'd be the perfect place to propose to you."
James pulled out a note and recited a poem he wrote for the occasion:
"I solemnly swear to love you
I solemnly swear to care
I solemnly swear to be there
Even if you don't want me there
I solemnly swear to need you
Everyday of my life
I solemnly swear to want you
Even if we're in a fight
And if one day I have to die for you
I solemnly swear I'll even do it twice
Everything for you Lily Evan
So will you solemnly swear to be my wife?"
By the end of it Lily Evans was crying, pure tears of joy.
"Yes! Yes you prat!" she laughed throwing her arms around his neck
and pulling him in for a kiss "always yes."
The two layed down enjoying the sunset and they're newly announced
engagement.
Then Lily turned to James, suddenly remembering something.
"So does this mean Mischief Managed?"
James stared at the sunset a little longer and then kissed Lily again.
"Definitely."
LOL this was written on my ipod due to my sheer boredom!
First I wrote the poem then I'm like 'you know what? It need more' so TADA!
Lol I just went through the whole revision on spell check so its way better then my first draft!
