Disclaimer: I don't own Yuugiou. If I did the ending would be a lot different and Yami no Bakura would have won.

Pairings: Anzu x Yuugi. Shizuka x Otogi. Mai x Jounuchi. One sided Seto x Isis (for now). Miho x Honda. Miho is from the series that never aired outside of Japan (not an oc). Lightly hinted Anzu x Mai. Yami no Malik x Yami no Bakura. One sided Malik x Yami no Bakura (for now). Ryou x Malik (for now). The "for now" pairings may change and not be one sided or whatever I decide.

Note: Yami no Bakura will be just Bakura. Normal sweet Bakura will be Ryou. Yami no Malik will be Mariku and normal not so sweet Malik will be Malik. I thought it was a good way for other people to tell whose talking. In the show it's usually obvious (especially Malik).

"Ryou!"

"Ryou, are you home?"

Anzu looked over at Yuugi and sighed. Ryou was supposed to meet her here to tell her something. She turned around and looked at Yuugi who looked pretty worried.

Thier worry was for a good reason. Just a few days ago a woman came to town claiming to be powerful. She said her name was Serena. A foreigner from America. She had been seen in Domino asking people about the king of thieves as she called him. Bakura had been gone for at least a year along with Atemu. Yuugi missed his old friend a lot.

A lot had happened since Atemu had left them. Anzu and Yuugi finally became a couple. It took a lot of persuasion from their friends but Yuugi finally got up the nerve to ask her on a real date. Their relationship bloomed and inspired others. Jounuchi got the courage to ask Mai out. What shocked them all was when Shizuka put the move on Otogi and Otogi didn't mind that one bit. Jounuchi was slightly pissed while Honda depressed. Honda's depression didn't last long after Miho moved back to Domino. Everything worked out for the gang except Ryou. The gang didn't trust him since he spent so much time with Malik. Malik was not to be trusted since Mariku still existed.

"Anzu, there is one place we could look" said Yuugi.

"Where?" she asked him.

"That woman Serena" he started "She's serious about bringing our old enemy back from the dead. Maybe Malik knows something if she's using Egyptian magic. I know he's studied the stuff though he doesn't practice."

"Good idea."

Yuugi and Anzu wanted to find Ryou as soon as possible. The guilt they felt was obvious on thier face. They hadn't said a word to him since Atemu and Bakura went away. Seeing Ryou unfortunately brought back bad memories of Bakura. Yuugi and the gang wanted a new life out of the darkness Bakura brought them.

Malik didn't live far from Ryou. Isis would probably be home fixing dinner for Malik and Rishid. There was also a likely chance Malik wouldn't help them but if he knew it would help Ryou then maybe. They got to the door and exchanged worried glances. Neither of them were on good terms with Malik. Yuugi being the brave little man went to knock on the door and landed right on top of Malik as he was opening the door. Malik pushed the smaller boy off of him.

"What the hell are you two doing here?" Malik responded angrily.

"We're looking for Ryou" Anzu spoke up when Yuugi didn't respond. That reply only seemed to make Malik even angrier. Malik knew truthfully he didn't like Ryou the way Ryou liked him but couldn't stand to see them two act as if everything was okay. As if the last year of them practically ignoring Ryou at every turn was made up.

"Jackasses" Malik said to them.

"We know we've not acted the way we should have to Ryou the last year" Anzu started "but we...

"But what" Malik interrupted "I'm not in the mood for your pathetic excuse. I have to find Ryou. I think he's in trouble."

"We know he is" said Yuugi. That got Malik to stop and ask what they knew about Ryou's disappearance. He knew Ryou had sent a message to Anzu asking to meet him at his father's house. It annoyed him that Ryou was still trying to be friends with them after they pretended he didn't exist. But Ryou was supposed to call him and he didn't. That's when he decided he would go to Ryou's house and see if he was still talking to Anzu.

"What do you know?" asked Malik a little calmer since they knew info he needed to know.

"Well, not a whole lot" said Anzu.

"We know there's this really strange foreigner that's looking to ressurect Bakura and we think she's going to use Ryou somehow." added Yuugi.

Malik thought that out for a moment. Bakura? Ressurected? Could that happen and what would happen to Ryou? Ryou and Malik had been a couple a while after it was obvious Bakura was never coming back. Malik convinced himself to move on but in actually he hadn't. Dating his look alike was cruel but he figured it wasn't as cruel as his so called friends abandoning him. Malik looked away and didn't realize he was smiling a little at the thought of seeing Bakura. His smile quickly changed when he realized it was one sided. It was Bakura and Mariku not Bakura and Malik.

"Are you okay"? Anzu finally asked when it took him awhile to say anything. From the angle Yuugi and Anzu were standing it looked as if he was shaking from crying.

"I'm okay, Do either of you have an idea of where to find Ryou?"

"We were hoping you did' responded Anzu.

"I might, I need to tell my sister to not wait up for me. Wait a minute"

"Okay" Yuugi and Anzu responded.

A few minutes later Malik was back outside and shouting for them to follow him.

"Where are we going?" asked Yuugi.

"When I first moved here I noticed this really odd place. Bakura took me there once. He said it had a lot of magical energies." He was lying a little. Bakura had mentioned this place but it was to Mariku.

"And what else?" asked Yuugi.

"Well, it's a perfect place to try to resurrect someone." Malik responded sarcastically.

"Oh" Anzu and Yuugi nodded understanding what it meant. They also could tell Malik wasn't in a chatty mood and let it drop at that. Malik said he was taking the short cut but to Anzu and Yuugi it didn't feel like it. Anzu was wearing nice shoes as her original plans after meeting up with Ryou were to go on a double date with Jounuchi and Mai. They regularly went out together that way. It was arranged that way by Mai and Anzu so the girls could chat and they had a lot to "chat" about when the boys left them alone.

They arrived there to see Ryou lying in what looked to be a hot spring. That woman Serena was chanting some unintelligible words over him. None of them could hear exactly what she was saying. Over on the left is what got thier attention. It looked like a body double of Ryou except the hair. Malik frozen in his spot in what looked to be Bakura with no soul. Instantly the feelings he had for Bakura came to the surface. Anyone looking at him would notice what he felt for Bakura. Seeing the sad look on Ryou's face made Malik regret making it so obvious. Before Malik could attempt to repair the damage, Ryou's soul went from his body and into what looked like a copy of him. Bakura was slowly coming back to life and front of them. A very frightened Yuugi and Anzu looked on as Bakura was becoming conscious. Malik lost control of his own body and switched to Mariku. Before thier eyes a very much alive Bakura was glaring at them.
